With the Habs and not the Rocket. I wouldn't do it. But I guess for the Rocket it means Ylonen goes back? Who else? Pitlick? Do you send RHP back for help?

As far as Farrell is concerned, I'm eager to see how he'Ll manage with the speed he has.

Insane how despite being at the bottom of the league, that lineup still has stuff to look for and you actually cannot stop watching it...lol
No roster size limit after the deadline, only a cap space one. They don't need to send down anyone.

But if they want the Rocket to make the playoffs, they should send down both Ylonen and RHP asap. The Rocket can use the help. Pitlick would help too, but he can't participate in the playoffs.

Yeah, one of the 3 i guess. Can Belzile go back too?

Neither Pitlick nor Belzile are eligible to go down for Laval. They weren't part of the Laval roster at 3PM ET on TDL, so they can't play for Laval (whether regular season or playoffs).

Only Ylonen and RHP are able to be sent down as they were the only two send down on TDL.

Annoying to see these NCAA players able to burn the first year of their ELCs. Ideally he would have started in the AHL. Now the team will have to send back to Laval somebody else that worked hard the whole year.
It's part of the price you have to pay when a kid decides to get an education along with the hockey. If I had a kid with enough talent, as a parent I would absolutely prefer and recommend this route. It's also not too bad from an organizational stand point as the kids hit the Pros with more maturity.

Players like Pitlick, Belzile, and maybe even RHP and Ylonen, are exactly that: Laval players most of them knows it.

So what’s so bad in sending one of them back to help laval maybe make the playoffs?

Farrell worked his butt off all year, having a standout season while doing two academic years in one. Incredible. Only Fantilli had more ppg in the entire NCAA.

Ylonen is on the "Clear Day" roster for Laval, to make and then play in their playoffs. So is RHP. Ylonen will go back first.

Pitlick and Belzile have to go through waivers. The Habs are allowed to waive them and risk losing them BUT.....they were not put on the playoff-eligible list.

The eligible ones were Richard (was on emergency recall, and has already returned), Ylonen and RHP.

Hopefully Laval makes the playoffs with their help.

Farrell will finish the season with the Habs, next season, he will have to win himself a spot with the big team in the training camp, or even they will just make him start the season with Laval.

They can just sit Tierney. If Farrell’s play doesn’t warrant a spot over any of our current guys they will sit him. Why the negativity?

I will be disappointed if Farrell can't crack the top-12 F at camp. At age almost 22, he won't be sent down justy due to being "too young".

It's clear you know nothing about the dynamic of a hockey locker-room.

They have limited roster spots. They will need to send somebody down to comply. Simple.

They can just sit Tierney. If Farrell’s play doesn’t warrant a spot over any of our current guys they will sit him. Why the negativity?

No they don't. Both are playing great, they paid their dues. It would be awful to send one of them down to make space for Farrell.

I'm not sure you are right. Ylonen and RHP have already been told they are going back to Laval before season's end.

In terms of his playing, is it not our standard practice now to offer a desirable NCAA prospect a first year contract burn to help the decision for him to sign with us ? Not sure if that's at play here.

True. I just love to watch Dach play. Even though its Suzy who showed up to the party last night.

The plan is for Ylonen and RHP, who came up due to injuries, to go back and help Laval win a Calder Cup if they can. That would be a good experience.

Next year, both are waiver-eligible and will fight for their spots in camp.
