this is straight up not happening. wherever he goes he's getting money, term, and big minutes.keep him on a reasonable, short deal... Strictly as a 6/7, assuming they overhaul the defense.
Rangers aren't in a position to "not listen" on any trades tbh, but Miller is a guy Id prefer not to move. I've been pretty relatively outspoken on this - he's a defenseman that needs a solid partner and solid coaching. He finally has the former in Borgen, we need the latter now.With guys like Mika and Miller their overall game needs to be like it was yesterday for me to live with their gaffes.
Mika is a different story. We all get attached to expectations of players based on hype, personality, draft capital (looking at machinehead's anti-Laf campaign), but ultimately once the season starts the only real inescapable expectation is the players cap hit. Mika was severely underperforming his cap hit, and so is deserving of a lot more blame than a Miller or a Kakko.
