He was given a chance on the canucks to learn the bare minimum of two way play. He couldn't do it. Back on Seattle and he couldn't put up points either. His NHL career I imagine is done at this point.

The thread of him signing in the summer with Vancouver and more than a few Canucks fans looking at his goals and usage and thinking he was going to be a steal - despite fans of like 5 different fanbases saying “guy is a bum who you will want on the bench by game #10” is pretty hilarious.

That’s not a diss on Canucks fans - the same would be true of any fanbase casuals who just look at sorted scoring columns and get excited by it. But sometimes when the merry go round experience has reached that level, you should assume the worst.

This at least really will put an end to fans (and GMs) and thinking there is something to unlock here. Sprong will probably head off to Switzerland next summer and make a nice living torching the Swiss National League.

Sorry for hijacking, I'll talk about Sprong a little. lol

I always hoped he'd turn into a good player, had decent hopes for him with the Pens. Hopefully he gets another shot soon and capitalizes. /on topic
