Listening to 32 pod, sounds like when Tampa and Seattle made their deal, that’s when teams finally admitted to themselves that they had to go to a 1st to get Laughton. They also spoke highly of Grebenkin. “He’s a Flyer.”

“He’s a Flyer.” is not necessarily a positive connotation.

Where is the career shot blocks stat?

The first half of his career, Scott Laughton was a nice guy to root for who you wanted to see succeed despite the team passing on good players in the draft.

Just before his big extension is when they should have traded him. He's a bottom 6 player who can barely play Center. Happy the team found a way to finally get some kind of version of a 1st for him.

I won't be excited about the rebuild until Tortorella is gone and they don't replace him with a grinder coach. It's still incredibly stupid they let him play Thursday night.

Greb is one of those prospects you might need to wait til he's 25 to see if he actually becomes something. His best shot is his wrister, isn't afraid to get physical, has shown flashes of being a 2-way guy.

I'm sad to see him go because I saw him in person a few times and thought he had a decent ceiling.

You guys will love Grebenkin. He's got a lot of potential and he's quite the character. Kid hits, skates well and will fight. I think he projects as a middle 6 grinder. He has enough skill to put up some points.

You pay attention to hockey prospects and post about them constantly, so this makes total sense. Of course you could have known about him before today.

The point was just that it always bothers me how opinions materialize out of nowhere. I read a couple of things about him too. I sure as hell don't have a take worth sharing.

The only opinion I can have is on the observable processes. I know nothing specific about this player.

Some of it is worrying. That's been rehashed a trillion times. It will be rehashed more. I like how they traded Laughton, their adored darling, for futures.

You guys fleeced the f*** out of us
