Interesting, 7 of the first 8 are at home, and none of those against anyone I would consider cup contenders. Hit the road for 5 games then play another 6 of 7 at home (with the one away game at Anaheim)

The Kings are going to need to take care of business early if they want to win the Presidents Trophy or the division.

Four 5-game road trips and NINE back-to-backs!?! Thanks, schedule makers. (Haven't looked at any other schedules yet, but both of those figures seem high to me)

the whole point is to play on road vs teams that are close to eachother without going back and forth from west to central/east

Kings need to come out like gangbusters and get as many points as possible, because we all know the inevitable slump will hit them hard.

I'm guessing that the February 21 game in San José is the outdoor game...on a Wednesday.

That's actually a Saturday night. But I'm guessing since it's on HNIC that will be the outdoor game.

Hopefully it's at AT&T and not Levi's Stadium

Kings have four 5-game series on the road and four 3-game series on the road.

The Kings start the season with 8 straight in the west. They also play almost the entire 11-game month of January on the west coast including a 7-game home stand. Kings also play 7 straight on the west coast from 11/6 to 11/20.

Games by day of the week:
Sunday - 6 (3 Home/3 Road)
Monday - 10 (5 Home/5 Road)
Tuesday - 15 (4 Home/11 Road)
Wednesday - 8 (3 Home/5 Road)
Thursday - 19 (11 Home/8 Road)
Friday - 3 (all Road)
Saturday - 19 (15 Home/4 Road)

9 Back-To-Backs:
At Home - 0
At Home/Then Road - 1 (2/26/15 & 2/27/15)
At Road/Then Home - 2 (10/11/14 & 10/12/14), (11/12/14 & 11/13/14)
On Road - 6 (10/30/14 & 10/31/14), (11/25/14 & 11/26/14), (12/11/14 & 12/12/14), (12/29/14 & 12/30/14), (3/23/15 & 3/24/15), (4/6/15 & 4/7/15)

That's what I get for listening to a Sharks fan.

Just don't talk to them for so long, or else you will start saying crazy things like the only reason the Kings won the series was because Vlasic got hurt. Or that Niemi is better than Quick.

Kings open & close the season against the Sharks. Talk about the NHL sticking and twisting that knife.

Watch the division come down to the final game, the Sharks clinch it with a win, and then Jumbo Joe (or whoever their captain is) slides across center ice.

The regular season just seems so long and boring, now that I've been spoiled by our playoff run and eventual SC this year! I'm sure it'll be a long, long, season.

He could whip out his schwanz and hump the center ice dot for all I care. Regular season... LULZ.

Haha figured! If any kings season ticket holders or anyone here wanna swap tickets for each home game ill have 2 tickets to the flyers home game

Someone on the main board actually suggested it was great the sharks were playing the kings on opening night to get "revenge". Revenge in game 1 of the regular season... Sharkstyle!

A lot of people suggested that on the Sharks board. It'll "teach" their core something to watch it and win that night. So hilarious. Like I said, two points closer to a divisional banner.
