Y'all know this year’s edition of the Florida Panthers is psychologically very strange. They’re actually without a doubt the better team. If they had a team-wide killer instinct, this series would already be over and we’d be rushing to Elbo room right now.

Therefore, I’m serious that in a f***ed up and strange way they needed to lose game 4 so that they’ll win in Edmonton and give themselves a must win game 6. In fact, game 5 is a must win for Edmonton, not Panthers, so all pressure is on them and probably Pickard in goal in particular.

Call it whatever but since we decided not to sweep them, this is the next approximation.

Okay, so here’s the problem with these Stanley Cup Champions now.

Before the Zito train hit town I could go to games for 20 years and see my 5 other fans. I could get a beer immediately because there were no lines. I could get up during a tv timeout, get a beer, and get back to my seat before the puck was dropped after the tv timeout. I could also, in that same tv timeout, go to the bathroom and get back to my seat before puck drop.

Did these guys think of us 6 fans when 5hey won the cup. Did they think of of how that would affect our beer drinking and going to the bathroom?

I think sometimes we exaggerate the effect these vets have on young players (at least from a strictly on ice perspective). But the fact that Barkov still employs some of Jagr's training methods is neat.

Every Panthers fan who has supported the team longer than the last 3 years could have written this Pantheresque screen play. And why should this team ever do something the ordinary way? Everything they do they do it the hardest way possible. This will definitely not end in 6 games. And the longer the series goes, the lesser the feeling I have they will win it this year.
