I'll be watching the game in Europe (as I do mostly). It'll be 2am when the puck drops, the 69th playoff game of the McDrai-era that I get to see live (of a total of 74 possible playoff games).

It's National Quebec day here, and literally everyone I know is non-stop talking about the Oilers. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like in Edmonton.

Everyone here is on the edge of there seat. I am trying so hard to concentrate on work but it is the ultimate struggle. I thought waiting for game 1 of the SCF was bad this is just pure torture. Why did t I book today and tomorrow off lol

Just over 6.5 hours.

The last time this happened, I was 12 years old. I had only been a fan since December 2005, when a family friend took me to my first ever game (5-3 W against the Habs). The 2006 run happened shortly after and I was too young to realize just how special that truly was.

As I was walking out of the Rexall watch party with my Dad after that horrible Game 7, I said to him, "They'll be back next year. They're too good not to be."

If only I had known how truly wrong I was...

Believe me when I say that NONE of this will be taken for granted this year.
