Human beings love hyperbole.

The narrative around McDavid is that he's easily a top 5 player in NHL history who is dragging an average lineup, AHL goalie, and substitute teacher masquerading as coach to within a game of the Cup.

Swap out McDavid for a decent center and this team might not make the playoffs. The narrative around him should be that he's a generational player who cannot win it all on his own.
They are just haters coming out of the floorboards to dance when things don't look so well for the GOAT. ;) Don't worry, most of us will remember his legendary performances in the playoffs.

That was a terrible goal to give for Skinner...

But this is the moment for Connor and Leon to come up with some magic. The time is now or never.

Strange we haven’t seen more out of McDavid so far. Gotta hope he steps up in the third here.

The Oilers are still in this, but if it’s gonna come down to goaltending, there’s one goalie I favor much more than the other. And it isn’t Mr. Games 4-7

And I’m tired of hearing about how good he’s been in games 4-7 because if he’s been a .940% in games 4-7 these playoffs then he must be an .850% in games 1-3.

He wasn’t the reason they were down 2 games to 0, but he was certainly a big reason why they were down 3 games to 0 when he stunk in game 3. And he put them in a hole against Vancouver.

Felt like Florida had more zone time and controlled play, but Edmonton had the more dangerous chances, just a little unlucky.

Panthers cannot afford to sit back in the third and try to defend their lead.

They need to apply pressure (but their D do not need to be giving up 2-on-1's and breakaways).
