I hope that the Edmonton Oilers win the ice hockey game this evening.
Oilers are going to decimate Panthers tonight. At least 7-2. McDavid with 4 points minimum.

Panthers need Ekblad, Verhaege, Tkachuk to be much better than they have been. Ekblad has been a gigantic liability.
On one hand I couldn’t think of a roster (note- NOT fanbase) who deserves the pain of this potential humiliation more, on the other hand I placed a +600 bet at the deadline the panthers would win the cup

I, along with many others, had a lot of laughs at the Oilers expense when it was 3-0. I'll take my lumps. Still hope Florida pulls it out tonight, but what a comeback. Nothing like a Game 7. Can't wait for tonight.

As a fan of another Canadian team (yep, without *any* love for Edmonton this year, any year), I am oddly moved by the determination of this Oilers squad. Who wouldn't be? Their underdog goalie takes energy from their superstar centre. Knoblauch working his magic on the penalty kill - and their amazing success at popping shorties on said kill. Some of their guys contributing through obvious injury.
I have to eat my crow here, I didn't think they would get this far, and so this team deserves some respect.

I cant recall ever being this emotionally invested in an nhl game that didn't involve the Montreal Canadiens in my life.

You were the lone crazy dude who called a reverse sweep when Florida was up 3-0. And here we are, one game away from the boldest, wildest, and potentially greatest prediction I've seen. If Edmonton pulls this off, a lot of people will be knocking on your door asking for investment tips.
We have no reason NOT to root for Edmonton. There's no direct Montreal/Edmonton rivalry, they were the clear underdog, and the series has turned into this epic come-from-behind story that movies are made of. Everyone I know is on the bandwagon because an Oilers win would be a great climactic ending.
Here we go, who's going to show up? Does Bob have one left in him? We will see.
