I don't understand the purpose of having 4 refs on the ice when they 1) have no idea what to call to begin with, 2) miss the blatant infractions that happen literally 3 feet directly in front of them while they stare at the infraction happening, and 3) interfere with the puck and totally change the course of the game. Is there any other sport where refs can interfere with gameplay and things just go on as if it's nothing?

It’s just every f***ing play. Colorado out classes them in every area except for the goaltending and Tampa just mercilessly holds, impedes, cross checks and mugs behind the play.

It’s frustrating because I would rather watch Colorado put on their master class than watch Tampa win a wrestling match to artificially keep the series close.

people will get used to a lower standard eventually. Just look at the quality of apple turnovers and croissants in stores nowadays. Nothing compared to when it was made with real butter and lard and fruits.

He’s over point per game the past 2-3 years and just resigned in Colorado this past year. He’s what I hope Lafreniere becomes. Similar style so far at the NHL level.

I’ve had this thought a lot while watching Landeskog & Laf in the playoffs too. Landeskog was also named captain really young, which I think Laf is similarly mature and has natural leadership abilities. (Unless we hand Krav the C)

Same with at least 2-3 MacKinnon rushes. Meanwhile Tampa is whining about a good icing call that results in a goal. Cooper whines and the refs adjust to appease them. It’s pathetic. Some people were saying they don’t want Colorado to win because they don’t want the league to have more reason to hype Makar, but Makar IS the most dynamic young defenseman in the world. The hype is warranted. Fox is fantastic, but there is no shame in being the second or third best defenseman in the universe. Makar is the real deal and the hype is legit. I think the league is MUCH more invested in artificially propping up a dynasty in the south with a team that has yet to win a legitimate Cup (bubble champs with no fans and then beat Montreal, meh). It seems much more like appeasing Cooper and pushing the dynasty narrative is the priority than giving Makar any additional hype. He earns enough of it on his own.
