I'm not going to gloat and say I was right when I said Colorado would make quick work of Tampa and that a Rangers/Avs series would be a genuine coinflip, but we've seen this before. Tampa abused the first two away and righted the ship at home.

I don't see it this time though. They're losing their composure. They never did against the Rangers.

I'm not going to gloat and say I was right when I said Colorado would make quick work of Tampa and that a Rangers/Avs series would be a genuine coinflip, but we've seen this before. Tampa abused the first two away and righted the ship at home.

I don't see it this time though. They're losing their composure. They never did against the Rangers.

The fact that they dropped the first two on the road is coincidence, not correlation. Against the Rangers, they were coming off a long rest and took us lightly. Against the Avs they are literally being out classed in every facet of the game. Tampa is not coming back in this series. I’d be more surprised by 6-7 games than I would be by a sweep. My guess is the pushback in game 1 is as good as it gets for them.

That is exactly what people who predicted a Tampa bludgeoning will say. They got the Avs right where they want them at home for 2. The Avs are not as dominant on the road, but they still should be at least two tiers better than the Bolts in Tampa, unlike the five tiers here in Denver.

I think teams need to be careful because he is well... Very much in an ideal situation for himself but he's reinvented his game quite a bit. He's basically done what I was hoping Gauthier would do here.
