The f*** do you mean no? The only one that’s even debatable is Fox/Makar. We couldn’t afford it, but the Avs trio is blatantly and abundantly better than ours, and that Rantanen/Kakko age gap is essentially the same as the Zibanejad/MacKinnon age gap, so it’s not even like we would be getting older.

It's more than just the individual talent level, they are a machine as a unit of 5 up and down the ice. They move in waves.

This series makes me feel better about losing to the Lightning we wouldn't look any better against the Avs than the Lightning do. It's their time.

This is what gets me more than individual stars and names. They are just well drilled and well coached when it comes to this part of the game. This is clearly the vision of the management. What is ours?

So do I....I just want them all to improve their skating tenfold
Yup, and their puck movement and coordination as a team. We are like light years behind feels like

I agree, but I also think this is a credit to Sakic. He identified skating players. He added Kadri. Added Nichushkin. Added Helm. Added Cogliano. Some of these guys aren’t studs, but they were always known for their skating. He knew what kind of team he wanted.

Yep, that's what I meant with the vision of the management

It's easy to look like a great coach with all that talent. We are pretty biased on this board, but honestly we do not have nearly equal that level of talent on our roster. Fox is a great player, but his skills don't jump off the screen at you. Panarin & Zib show their skill quite often, but the rest of our roster is pretty bland.

Even so, the Avs have plenty of lapses in every game I watch them. If Tampa has any fight left in them in this game, the can make it a game when the Avs no doubt take their foot off the pedal like they do in every 2nd period in the playoffs.

I think we are just as talented overall, just not in the some particular areas like skating but certainly in IQ like Igor, Fox and Panarin (if he gets back on track).

While I think the Avs are as good as they are showing, I also think that the Rangers took a pretty big bite out of Tampa. Every game except Game 4, and Game 1 for that matter, was a one goal nail biter, war of attrition type of game.

If the Avs have another gear to this it would be freaky. They are rolling about as well as they can aren't they

The problem with Panarin is his unwillingness to take the puck into the slot & how allergic he is to contact....Fox is similar to a lesser degree.

These two teams playing have one huge thing in common. Every guy on each of these rosters including the All Stars has been taking the body through the entire playoffs. 95% of our roster is content with a fly by, ole stick check & they call it good. It's clearly the difference between winning a few rounds & winning it all.

I said in the Tampa GDTs that the Rangers, win or lose that series, needed to take notes on how Tampa plays with the lead & when they're trailing. They never passed up an opportunity to hit us...either during the play or after the whistle. After 6 games, believe me it took a toll. Our guys had enough of being hit & they had no fight left in them because they were f***ing exhausted. They need to learn as a team from the Tampa series what the physical demands are if they want to win it all & use it the next time they get the chance.
