It’s only 3-0 who cares
It’s over tonight. We don’t have the depth with all these injuries and even then Vegas would be the superior team. Unless Givanni Smith or Colin White somehow become gamers overnight we ain’t got a chance in hell. It’s been fun, I’m proud of this team and what we’ve accomplished this year. For the first time I can confidently say things look bright for our franchise, we have actual haters now which is when you know you’ve made it. But it wasn’t meant to be in what seemed like the team of destiny. We overachieved this off-season and got injuries at the worst time possible plus Vegas simply has the better team. It is what it is, no shame on this loss.

Congrats to Vegas in advance.

Alex Pietrangelo is 5-0 in Game 7s if it got to that point, which it will not. Instead tonight he will become the first player* to lead two different franchises to a Cup while leading them in ice time. Part of the reason he is the first is, it's truly difficult to be such a massive imbecile to not realize who your best players are. Doug Armstrong pulled it off though.

[*I realize that they didn't keep ice time in the Mud Bunson era but I really do not think it has happened.]

I hope Vegas just takes care of business tonight. It's always more exciting and appropriate, imo, when the home team wins the Stanley Cup on their own ice. Hate to see the fans of opposing teams upset after their team just lost and are watching the other team being handed the cup. I don't take pleasure in that.

They would have to surround the rink with netting so the bottles and cans can't reach the ice.

Jack Eichel possibly lifting the Stanley Cup before McDavid or Matthews? Who would have made that bet?
I might have when he first joined Buffalo.

But the last 4 seasons no way.

Guy played great out there.

I sometimes can't tell which line is out for Vegas from the top 3 lines. All 3 lines are just buzzing and taking over the Florida Defense. It's nuts.

You can also see Eichel making a defensive effort every shift not just running out of the zone like his draft mate.

While Vegas will eventually win the series, nothing will give me greater pleasure than florida winning tonight just to spite all those who paid those outrageous scalpers prices to see the cup.

Tkachuk and Montour hurt?
Bob down to earth.
I can’t see Florida prolonging the eventuality.
I keep waiting for Hill ( wherever he came from?) to faulter and give Florida a chance but it hasn’t happened.

Bob can allow two goals max for any hope.

Hopefully rockstar McCailey won’t dash away any Florida chance on his clearly biased calls.

Vegas has played better no doubt.

But the calls have been really bad.
Expecting Petro to be hoisting VGK’s first cup tonight.

Too much anxiety to focus on work. I went to New Mexico for my friends' wedding this weekend. Should have just made a brief vacation out of it. I have no idea how I'm going to force myself to be productive today.

Really hoping they can close it out tonight. Hope they're more motivated by what's at stake than psyched out by it.

I’d be shocked if Vegas doesn’t win something like 6-1 tonight.

Panthers know they probably can’t compete with Vegas. But they’ll keep believing as long as the score is 0-0. Vegas knows it and they’ll want to score ASAP in this game to break all panthers’ hope.

My prediction: Vegas will come out very strong and Panthers won’t be able to stop them. It’ll be 2-0 Vegas after 10 minutes. Panthers will give up. Score will be 6-1 after 2 and the third period is going to be boring and just a formality.
