Only thing that comes to mind is:
1. Reverse hit, you expect contact and lose balance when your feet get taken out.
2. Embellishment

3. You're not expecting to get your legs taken out from under you in an illegal manner, and go down awkwardly

Oh they all know it was a penalty. Nobody is debating that. We just love it because Marchand has been doing that sh*t for years and it never got called. It's the sweetest justice anyone could ask for.

Marchand almost certainly tore Zach Hyman's ACL with one of his patented "accidental on purpose" plays in the 1st round. Not only was there no penalty call, but Chara scored the game winner with Hyman out of the play (whom would have been covering his point otherwise). Bruins fans were pretty silent on that one.

The whining when these calls are turned around on them is delicious.
