If anyone should be worried about who faced inferior talent thus far.... the Kings have not faced Lundqvist.

You faced great teams but were any of their tenders showing up as the best player on the ice? Because that's a big reason why the Rangers are here. Lundqvist has been that good.

Definitely. Lundqvist is top-notch. A goalie of that caliber can steal a series. Can't wait to watch Lundqvist battle against Quick and McDonagh work to contain Kopi, Gabby, Carter, etc. Can't wait.

I said Hank is great and you guys belong here but you faced inferior opponents to what we had to and that is why your team appears to have done so well.

All the teams are worthy. Sidney Crosby is inferior to who? Malkin? Giroux?

Your team is rolling and so are the Rangers. They each faced their opponents and beat them.

The competition continues. May the best team win

Your post was focused on the EXPERTS not "figuring out" that Lundqvist has had a cake walk and faced inferior teams.

1. I sort of disagree as playoff time all teams are hard to beat.

2. Even if those teams are inferior it doesn't change the history the guy has of being Vezina nominated Superstar goalie for the last NINE YEARS.

Nobody here means to discount the Rangers or certainly not Lundqvist. Yes, they earned their spot.

The bottom line is Chicago scared us more. Anaheim scared us more. San Jose....eh.

That knot in my stomach that was there before game 1 of the previous series hasn't shown up yet. The nervous fidgeting that was there is now more of an anxious fidgeting like that of a school kid waiting for the bell to ring so they can go out and play.

Its not that my body doesn't recognize the talent of the Rangers, its that the success that the team has had against the two clubs I've feared meeting in the playoffs the most since October has given me unwavering confidence. And nothing that can be typed on a message board will change that.

I'm so sick of hearing about their ****ing goalie and defense. Kings are equally good on the back end and The Kings are far superior on offense. I don't care who is in net do them, kings should be and are the favorites going in. Regardless of how much rags fans try to pump up their back end, its The Kings series to take.

May you forget your computer password

Flyers, Pens and the Habs are nowhere near the level of the Sharks, Ducks and Hawks. To say otherwise is crazy. John Gibson, I can't wait to shut these Rags fans up.

Crosby Malkin Giroux you are actually going to try and make an argument that the Pens 4 good players with almost zero D and terrible goaltending along with the Flyers having the exact same problems are equal to facing a team that has won the cup two out of the last three years and a two of the top 5 teams in the NHL?

Sure pal, whatever you say.

I am going to stick with what I have said all along, the Rags belong here and so do the Kings. The Rags have a great goaltender and so do the Kings. I give the edge in goaltending to the Rags at this point but if Quick gets his game to the level that he is capable of playing then it is a wash at worst.

Let the best TEAM win.

There's no doubt the Kings had the tougher road here. They partially made it tough on themselves with stretches of piss poor play. I'm hoping they're not too injured/fatigued to get this done, because they're so close now it'd be a ****ing shame.

No way am I underestimating the Rags D and goaltending. The only guy they don't have is Doughty, everyone else on their blueline is better or even with our D-korps. I'm hoping the Mitchell-Voynov pairing has pulled their heads out of the sand, because they were scaring me last series

Love the Game Day Thread.

Rangers fane here. But I have been a fan of the Kings on the west coast.

Hoping for a series that can be discussed as one of the better finals of all time.

Good Luck.

I think it is pretty much a consensus opinion that the west currently has better team than the east. that does not discredit the ranger for making it through. However I think more people would have been more impressed if they had beaten Boston not Montreal. I know I would have
But we will see

The only downside being on the finals is having to endure Emrick. I hope I'll find alternative broadcasts tonight.

Mmmm... the guys numbers have been pretty consistent his whole career. He's been nominated for the Vezina practically every season. It's not like the teams they faced sucked like "some" posters seem to like to put out there.

Did the big bad Flyers suck? Or did the Rangers beat them

Did Sid, Malkin, Neal and the Pens suck? Or did the Rangers beat them

Rangers earned their spot in the Finals. Suggesting otherwise is not fully grasping the whole of the situation.

Looking forward to a great series and sure wouldnt be surprised if Lundqvist plays like a superstar

Why are you defending your team on our boards so religiously. There's the main boards for that. So annoying. Such an inferiority complex, even Ducks fans weren't this whiney.

Da Ranjerz are da best. You better respect dem bud or you'll be sorry.

They're the best at being ****. I'm tired of having to check what boards I'm on because Rangers fans feel so insecure about their mediocre team.

No, neither team is "rolling." The Kings of 2012 "rolled." Both of these teams have basically "survived."

But the teams the Kings survived against were superior. If you can't see that, then there really is no need to discuss this further.

@NaturalLawyer: This series is a contest to see who will have more Stanley Cups over the last 73 years. #LAKings #NYRangers #BecauseItsTheCup
