I am not sure if you understood my previous post.

I am not denying that they lost. I am not even looking for a silver lining to redeem the Canes' late effort. But I am looking at this strictly from the psychological point view. Hockey players are human beings after all, so mental focus is not linear and can be affected by multiple factors.

Would the Canes be more energized for game 4 after a lopsided 0-6 loss, or after a game where they — despite the loss — were able to turn a game around, score 4 unanswered goals in period 3, and force an OT? In my view, the latter would give them more confidence before the next game.

Don’t waste your breath. You’re talking to a poster that hasn’t understood a post in a very long time.

Vegas deserved to win this one in regulation, Carolina's 3rd period was a bit flukey instead of turning it on and dominating their way back. Carolina played better in 1st OT with Hart coming up big in it.

It worked out good for everyone...He fits better in Vegas and the whole chain of events led to TO getting McKenna , Firing Berube, and a nice side note is that TLK looked excellent at the World's..

The situation in TO with Marner was getting tense and toxic....Was time to move on...
