They still lost. There are no trophies for losing the game
I am not sure if you understood my previous post.

I am not denying that they lost. I am not even looking for a silver lining to redeem the Canes' late effort. But I am looking at this strictly from the psychological point view. Hockey players are human beings after all, so mental focus is not linear and can be affected by multiple factors.

Would the Canes be more energized for game 4 after a lopsided 0-6 loss, or after a game where they — despite the loss — were able to turn a game around, score 4 unanswered goals in period 3, and force an OT? In my view, the latter would give them more confidence before the next game.

IMHO, Canes should have all the confidence in the world that they can win this series. They've taken the Knights to 2 OTs and won one of them. One less unlucky bounce and they would be up 2-1.

Good game of chess going on between Torts and Brindy as they adjust and counter-adjust against each other.

Golden Knights can really win the Stanley again? Well, they won the first time and ALL the players were from other teams. So the first Stanley was a joke.

If Vegas will win this time, I will credit the team.
‘If Vegas will win this time, I will credit the team.’

I’m sure that means a lot to them.

I hope a real enterprise takes over the management and operation of this website forum soon. Keep logging me off every 15-20 minutes and then I have to relog back in. I see they have a banner now telling you about this. Like most things operationally here, they’re work around doesn’t work.

Thanks tips.

f***ing crap.

A wise man once said, some people's opinions carry more weight than others.

...nah, that wasn't any "wise" man...that was his wife...and she was right, as usual...funny li'l tidbit (that my wife will probably kill me for telling anyone); for our Anniversary one year, I bought her a plaque that says "I don't need any more opinions...I'm more than fine with my own, thanks"...it hangs over our kitchen... :biglaugh:

Howso? My recollection is that there were only six original players from the 2017-18 when they won the Cup in 2023, being Marchessault, Karlsson, Reilly Smith, Theodore, McNabb and Carrier. The rest of the players were acquired through trades, i.e., Stone, Eichel, etc., or were Vegas draftees in Hague, Cotter, Leschyshyn, Patera, and Rondbjerg.
