I think the league helps Vegas win this one. They're gonna injure someone game one, get a two minute minor, everyone is gonna be pissed and expect a suspension, and it will be completely ignored.

Then Carolina will retaliate and get suspended for a clean hit like Rome on Horton.

Total apathy towards this match-up.
Good luck to both teams and their fans.
Hopefully Carolina wins instead of a team with a sub regular season .500 record.

I'll probably watch the highlights to see how Marner goes though.
So you don’t like hockey or something? Weird to spend so much time posting on a hockey forum then

Carolina in 6.

Colorado held Vegas to an average of 25 shots per game, outshot them 3 games out of 4.

What can Carolina's shot suppression do against Vegas? And they've had more time off.

If they can keep Vegas under 20 shots a game on average hard to see them losing 4 out of 7.

Vegas played the President Trophy winning Colorado (a solid team even with Makar injured) while Carolina got a pretty easy match up against Montreal. You can throw out the stats from the last series.

Hilarious series btw. No matter who wins, a lot of people will be pissed off for various reasons.

Who else won Stanley Cup as a player and as a coach for the same team, if Canes win?

Toe Blake but I can't think of any other.
It’s been a long time:
  • Toe Blake: Won three Cups as a player for the Montreal Canadiens (1944, 1945, 1946) and an incredible eight more as their head coach (1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1965, 1966, 1968). [1, 2, 3]
  • Hap Day: Won as a player/captain with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1932, and then as their head coach for five championships (1942, 1945, 1947, 1948, 1949). [1]
  • Frank Boucher: Won two Cups as a player for the New York Rangers (1928, 1933) and one as their head coach (1940). [1]

If it is the lowest ratings ever, Bettman will not be happy
Yes he will, since he assumes he is making a small sacrifice for growing the game long term. What he doesn't understand is that 99% of Carolina gives two shits what the Canes do. A very small, loyal fanbase cares and the rest don't know what icing means.

Vegas

Jealousy; the feeling that its fans didn’t suffer enough. Annoyance that they treat players like cattle and they still flock there. No state income tax. Hart and Howden.

Carolina

Small, southern market. Analytics W. No superstars. Cheap goaltending. Annoying X account. Emotive coach.
