Getting anxious for this one. Setting the tone for the whole weekend. I value my weekends. Don't ruin this for me, I'm not as resilient as Chris Drury.

A win would be huge for weekend morale all around.

kings will be nervous. we need to take advantage of too much adrenaline pulsing thru the kings veins. pressure is all on the kings. they will be pressing. hank needs to get in their heads.

play a smart, counter attacking 1st period and get that 2-0 lead we all know we will have.

then, rather than go into full shell mode, keep forechecking and counter attacking. keep the pressure on for 60 full minutes. keep the puck deep in their zone.

after we win this game, we return to ny then its game 7 back in la.

good times.

hopefully rick nash wears his good luck purple thong tonight.

LGR.

I don't think the Kings will be the least bit nervous, unless they are down late. They are a workmanlike group.

My hope is that NY pots 2 power play goals. I really want Nash back on the Power Play and Richards off it. Surprise me AV. Make an adjustment.

Adjustment would be to scratch Richards and add in either Miller or Carcillo.

The function of the 4th line needs to return. Richie isn't a 4th liner and he's not cutting it on the 2nd line.

If Moore is to continue being on the 2nd line, put in Carcillo.

If Moore gives us the best 4th line, put in Miller on the 2nd line and double shift Moore on that line from the 3rd period on if there is a lead.

Those are the sensible things to do. They can't play with fear, which is how they have played the last 2 games. Take risks, stave off the 3-4 momentum pushes the Kings will throw at you. Capitalize on their mistakes when they make it. Bring it back home.

Let's win another one. One shift at a time, don't look back. Keep the foot on the pedal.

Alright, I'm outta motivational cliches, LGR!!

Agreed completely.

I'd like to see them try Brassard on the point. He has a nice, hard, and *gasp* accurate shot and is a hell of a distributer, too.

I'd like, for the first unit, to see:

Brassard - McDonagh

St. Louis - Stepan - Nash

I'm not a fan of throwing Kreider off the PP when he's the only one who parks in front of the net and can't be moved. Nash is capable of doing this but we both know he won't sacrifice his body like that.

Nash should take Poo's spot on the 2nd PP unit. Poo is better on transition, anyway.

"Drew Doughty described tonight's Game 5 as a 'must-win' for the Kings. Adds Kings want to win tonight more than the Rangers."

I think today was finally the most brutally honest thing the Kings have said in the media all series long. Doughty said they've played a lot of games, they recognize they need to win this game - the more games that they play the more it piles on.

Tonight will be their biggest push. Find a way to win tonight. If the Rangers can do that, they'll be able to creep into this series legitimately.

Weekend will be nice, lots of sunshine, warm, gonna be happy couple days - then we get ready for game 6 at the garden on Monday

HAHAHAHA. Would it be in poor taste to try and arrange a NYR viewing party for game 7 at on of his pizza places ?

As with right before last game. I'm taking a planned hiatus from the board as soon as the series ends. Proud of this ****ing team.

Hopefully, I'll be posting for at least another 3 days. LGR. Bring it home again.
