Following this team since the 70's...what a sweet series win. My wife had to break out the defib machine when Nash screwed up that 3 on 1...great feeling. Screw the Habs. Lets hope the series out West goes to 7 games with 3 OT's each game

AV has done a terrific job...and for all the Hank haters on this board and the main boards...and you Devils fans lurking...how does that crow taste?
 
This is why I was ecstatic in the summer about a seemingly minor move of signing Dom Moore. He's a gamer. Big time. I am so happy for him.

The Kovalev injury was devastating that year. You know what else is somewhat shocking? Sather has actually constructed a deep team with quality throughout the lineup, and made the proper call on the coach...who thought we'd ever see that?

I still remember '94 like it was yesterday - it was so amazing, especially especially after '92. The previous disappointment made the subsequent victory SO sweet.

And the same with joining this board in the wake of the first lockout when I was SO starved for hockey conversation. Man, I remember the scuffles I had about "playing the yutes" and so much more...

Not to mention the razzing about being Brooklyn Ranger's biggest fan. :laugh:
 
so hoping Rick Nash comes alive alive in the finals. He has a good history playing against western conf teams right? :naughty:

Even with all the mud-slinging, this was a good series.

It doesn't seem like it now... And the last one was over 20 years ago, something you can identify with... we had a helluva run, though, and it was a lot of fun... anyways, again, hope you represent the east well, do some damage in the finals!

Me either, there's just so much happiness right now. Tomorrow morning I'm gunna jump out of bed early and wake up my family by skipping around the house and throwing puppies at them.

Ya as much as I've crictized slats. This team is great. But our future not so but idgaf because were in the finals!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Been a fan since 99 when I probably should've been a Devils fan especially where I live. But, all pull through and was a truest fan through the dark ages. I was happy when they finally made the playoffs in 06, then all the dissapointments in 07-09 and especially 2012. It feels good, hopefully in a couple weeks it's even better

This is absolutely unbelievable. Only this team could go to the finals on the back of a 1-0 win. never seen a defense or goaltender like this. Wow.
 
Congrats guys, soak it in because your team played an amazing series. Theres been drama, frustration and hate on both sides, but in the end once the buzzer rings it all comes down to respect and the better team won. With that being said, good luck in the finals, bring that cup home!

I will gladly eat crow about AV, too. I'm sure SBOB is with me on this. Both of us lamented the hiring as another typical Sather retread. Not thinking outside the box, etc. Typical lazy move.

The crow tastes wonderful.
