Congrats Rangers. Totally deserved. This game was a defensive piece of anthology. Our boys didn't come out as we wanted but that had a lot to do with how dedicated your boys were. You deserve that Cup Finals. Good luck.

IIRC, his dad was bald as hell but had a pretty sweet beard in the Stepan Beginnings episode, too. Steps is gonna look badass when he's the 30 year old grizzled vet 1C on this team ;).
 
Richards in the post game presser said it was his and Marty's decision not to touch the Prince of Whales Trophy. Said Carcillo's opinion would also have factored into the decision...but he's suspended. LOL.
 
I loved how the whole team went up for the PoW trophy.

Despite how everyone says that LA/CHI will roll over us, the Rangers have 4 solid lines, 3 solid defensive pairings, and the KING in nets.

WE WANT THE CUP!

Guys.... I started bein a Rangers fan the season after the lockout. I watched a team slated to be the worst in the NHL. I watched a young no name Swedish goalie estblish himeslef as the best goalie in the World. This is the first ime that I have experienced this moment as Rangers fan....... I cant tell you how I am feeling right now. It;s unreal......

Guy really stepped it up late in the series...wow!!! him and Diaz were solid which says a lot. Hes definitely a big part of this team now!!!
 
I think we have a good chance at beating either team in the finals. Both are a couple of the best teams in the West and we have our moments, but we still got here. No one can debate that. LGR
 
Devils board is so mad. One clown is even claiming that this is a dark day for hockey lirl.

We're not the favorites, but any moron who thinks it's more likely for LA/CHI to win in 4-5 than it is for the series to go 7 is out to lunch.

Coming from an HFboards where people thought MTL was better than us and how we would get embarrassed by Pitt. Crazy. It's laughable how much people don't know about hockey on the main boards.

You don't make the finals on luck, we're a well coached team with plenty of talent. I think a lot of people have underestimated us all post season.

However, in 1994, Stephane Matteau, then of the New York Rangers, admitted that he tapped the Wales Trophy with his stick's blade before the overtime period in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Matteau subsequently scored the game-winning goal in double overtime against the New Jersey Devils. Following the game, Mark Messier, the captain of the Rangers, picked up and raised the Wales Trophy after it was awarded to the team.
