Defenceman Timothy Liljegren will be back in the Leafs lineup tonight for the first time since injuring his foot on November 2. The Swede said he's feeling good and ready to go despite having minimal practice time for the last week.

I love Knies, but man, his play is still too raw or wild to get stable structured hockey from the top line.

Matthews and Nylander look so much better together being away from Knies learning curve. Finally making nice plays and the puck is getting to Matthews stick through possession. Matthews is finally getting good looks.

Knies will put up points in the bottom 6. That adrenaline style skill + high effort hockey works well there and is amazing for where he is in his career right now.

We need more boring stats from the top line like those "top 5 in league in chances off cycle" stuff if we want to go all the way and see "20 points in last 10 games" from Matthews.

I think a large part of Matty and Willy looking better may just be familiarity. The last two games, with Knies out, they have been playing with Gregor, and I'm not sure he has been the reason for the improvement. With those three as a line, they haven't scored 5v5.

I could see a bunch of soft techno or dum n bass with constant 'we can and we will' scratches .. ending with a final we can and we will ... not - in that disguised deep movie other end of the telephone voice

Nope!

JFJ wanted to rebuild but teachers pension plan said no and wanted to make the moolah.

There is no GM in the history of hockey (to my knowledge) that was given a team on a silver platter with plenty of cap space; team on the upswing that had just finished 100+ points season that did so little with the team.

Dubas is the WORST GM in Leafs history as far as I am concerned
