You think Sarnia's taken notice at how LDN and WSR are building their teams? Lol.

What a giant draft class. Smallest kid is 6'0" so far. All 3 D taken 6'2" & above with two being 6'4" & 6'6"

If the kids can play then I am all for it.

Sting definitely aren’t taking a goalie, top 6 are off the board. They really don’t need any more forwards or defenceman now. Which definitely makes me think goalie in the 1st round of import draft. My thoughts

At this point I'd be surprised if we don't take an import goalie.

Unless they think very highly of Grovestine, or have a trade coming in the summer.

Really surprised still they didn't take one in the top 5 rounds. I'm happy with our picks/what I'm reading but this is why we never have elite goaltending.

Unless they have something up their sleeve in a trade i think it’s import, import would be better lot of good goalies in Europe and don’t have to give up assets or players to get a goalie. Build in house.

There is the goalie, only 5’11, not sure why you even both picking him unless you see something in him the other teams don’t. Hes only 5’11 not ideal unless he grows which he probably will abit. There has also been like 10-12 goalies drafted ahead of him.

Save to say with these little Caesar players being drafted and Legwand in the room for the draft that he will be staying as part of the ownership, I do hope Mark guy buys in too, get more money and his connections. Sound like he is.

Actually heard today & can't say for certain

Ford Finch 80% ownership
Legwand 20% ownership

Guy is apart of Finch & probably takes over as president of hockey operations.

The Scout says he's 6'0".

But yah, id prefer taking one of the highly touted kids over a smaller ish goalie in the mid rounds which is what we keep doing

Loading up on little ceasars players I believe that’s 4 we have picked and with Sirvir and Aucoin that’s 6 Americans in total I wonder if they pick legwands kid with their last pick. Smallest player was 5’10 160 besides the goalie nobody has been under 160 pounds a lot of players over 6’0 a few 6’2 6’3 and the monster at 6’6, in a year this could be a draft where nobody is below 6’0 if some of these kids grow and inch or two which is definitely possible. Lot of kids that can bang and a Lot of kids that are good skaters and a few with high end skill. London I think has only picked one American so far. That surprised me abit but they obviously know what they are doing.

Looks like a solid draft… size , grit, high end skill, and speed. With some players having all of the above. If the kids picked early are 100% commits hopefully they can get one of the big swings they took in the mid rounds. Definitely see some trades coming and alot of competition at camp. Could be trading a defenceman or two and two forwards for a goalie. Or go import draft for the goalie which I think makes the most sense, if the goalie is elite and is 100% commited to coming over. I’m not going to get too high on these kids because let’s face it this is sarnia and they have drafted a lot of players they think are high end which don’t pan out and are notorious for not developing them properly. So I will play the wait and see game. But I’m hoping for the best. If the new ownership group of Finch and Legwand together is true I like that going forward, there is going to be a lot of money and hockey contacts between Legwand and Guy moving forward which is good for the organization and arena moving forward. Might even see the arena renamed to Finch Ford Gardens/Centre/Arena.

Couple scouting reports on our early picks.

Sarnia Sting: With the 4th overall pick in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, the Sarnia Sting selected Brenner Lammens LW from the Toronto Red Wings. Brenner was one of my favourite players in the draft class. Brenner has pro upside and reminds me of Matthew Tkachuk. He is so tough to play against and competes all over the ice. I project him as a #1 Winger Physical Power Forward at the OHL Level. I believe Brenner has the highest upside in this draft class. His top three attributes are: Compete Level, Shot and Puck Skills.

Sarnia Sting: With the 26th overall pick in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, the Sarnia Sting selected Kaden Aucion RD from the Chicago Mission 15s. I saw Kaden at the Silver Stick, and he showcased his effective physical play and skating. He was mobile and covered his gaps effectively. I project him as a Top 4 two-way Defenseman at the OHL Level. His top three attributes are: Size/Strength, Puck Skills and Compete Level.

Sarnia Sting: With the 42nd overall selection in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, the Sarnia Sting selected Sarvir Jaworski LW from the Detroit Little Caesars 15s. Sarvir has a strong shot and is tough to play against. I project Sarvir as a Top 6 Offensive Forward at the OHL Level. His Top three attributes are: Shot, Compete Level and Skating.

Sarnia Sting: With the 54th overall selection in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, the Sarnia Sting selected Chase Sewell LD from the Elgin Middlesex Canucks. Chase is a big, competitive D who can move the puck. I project Chase as a two-way Top 6 Defenseman at the OHL Level. His top three attributes are: Size/Strength, Compete Level and Puck Skills.
