Edwards continues to impress...a lot of these true rookies have kind of hit the rookie wall the last quarter of the season... except Edwards and Mbuyi... Edwards is doing all of this with the most inept coaching staff we've maybe ever seen here.
Yep he’s a good damn player, moron Letang hardly used him all year long especially the first half. He probably should have 20 more points if he was used properly, but Letang ruined his confidence with poor player management. I hope the scouts got out enough to notice Letang was a bad coach and hardly played him. Should have been a 2nd or 3rd round pick, probably be a 6th or 7th rounder or maybe not get drafted at all because of Letang. Big game Friday night! Sting MUST LOSE!!!Karimov buzzing tonight... You gotta think with any other coach in the O or Jr. hockey this team is comfortably in the playoffs.... seems like this team can never put it all together for one game and a lot of that is Letangs constant tinkering .. I only watched half the game but updates is right some sloppy hockey but I like seeing goals lol... Sarnia's offence was pretty good tonight. Surzycia has been bad tonight if you ask me... imo Sarnia wins this game if Maillet is in.... Looking like a buzz loss and an O.S win. Worst case scenario night for the buzz.
I heard a rumour from someone in the know tonight. That there was a rumour going around upstairs lately. That Legwand is looking to sell and that Brayden Guys dad my buy the team. Just a rumour though please don't shoot the messenger LOL.
Good F*cking god this interview is as bad as it gets. Feels like he's speaking directly to us LOL.
The LAST thing I wanna read is this has been a positive season, there are good things etc..
Alarming on so many levels.
Only fun thing is the last part. Seems to really indicate they will be signing a few of their draft picks from recent years that are BCHL/USHL.
be a bit disappointing if Legwand sells. Guy at least was an agent for awhile so he'd have connections & be respected as an owner. If there's any truth to it.I heard a rumour from someone in the know tonight. That there was a rumour going around upstairs lately. Ya i hope your right otherwise next year will be just the same crap. No accountability. To add on to my last post.
He can say we like what we've seen from our rookies & we like Brown, Beamish play in 2025 etc. But don't say this is where we wanted to be, this is going as planned. The hell is that.
Such loser talk. Oh we are so giddy to be 1 point out of a playoff spot with 5 games left. We are oh so happy we've let in the most goals in the league. Oh its so excited our special teams are JR B level.
like come on. maybe he thinks that way but don't act all happy to the fans & make it seem like we are overreacting. Makes it sound like Letang isn't going anywhere & that's a huge issue.
praying this is all media talk & behind closed doors they are unhappy with the staff.

I hate everything said in this article. He sounds like a politician. I wish our local media would start asking him tough questions.... It's amazing 2023 is still being brought up as an excuse for the gross incompetence we've seen the last 2 years.

I really hope this isn't true. I don't think Legwand has been bad, he hasn't been great either I just think his focus has been elsewhere lately. His prime focus should be the team but if it's not he should probably sell. I think if he really focuses in on the Sting they can be in a great position. I think having his kid on the Sting would regain his focus. We will see tho. Hopefully Guy's dad has some deep pockets. I don't know where Guy lives but imo we need a local owner... not some dude in Toronto who's clueless... We'll see.I heard a rumour from someone in the know tonight. I’m not sure where you put them, if they are forwards we can probably take one of them that will play in our top 9 especially if kostuch comes back. I’d imagine we can take one on the back end. Definitely can use one in net, but I think they should let Bodin walk and use that import pick on a goalie. He may be excited about bringing these players in because of the new rule, but every other team is going to do the same thing, and teams like Windsor London and Kitchener will still have better luck getting guys to come over. I think it was an absolute slap in the face to say that to us, to defend your terrible coaching staff with 6 games left, this team SHOULD easily be sitting comfortably in 6th place and pushing for 5th their coaches are 100% the reason they are fighting for a playoff spot. To lie and say this is where he thinks the team should be in a second year of a rebuild is down right embarrassing. You should never regress during a rebuild in this league, in the NHL sure but not this development league when players get older stronger and faster each year. If nothing is done about the coaching staff right when the season is over I’m 100% done with this team. It’s a disgrace to defend your incompetent coaching staff and publicly lie to your fans that pay to watch this team. Sting definitely seen me constantly bashing the coaching staff on their instagram and twitter posts. Lol

I think Legwands attention will switch to the sting starting this offseason, he has coached his sons AAA team the last couple of years, and his sons draft year is this year, so his so I’ll most likely be playing junior in the states or Ontario at some level, Legwand won’t be coaching him Next year.I really hope this isn't true. I don't think Legwand has been bad, he hasn't been great either I just think his focus has been elsewhere lately. His prime focus should be the team but if it's not he should probably sell. Idk I think bogas would be the only player I’d want, Kosiba had a good AAA career but was on absolutely stacked little Caesars teams. Quinlan has been absolutely terrible since leaving AAA, two terrible years for the USNTDP. Not sure if either of them improve in the OHL. Sure you can try but Kosiba could be another Tarasevich or namestnikov. And Quinlans numbers have been extremely bad on good teams, not sure if I’d rely on him being a starter.Assuming Seca isn't lying (why would he) about some older draft picks wanting to come over.. Here are the guys that would fit that bill.
2024: they'd be 17 next season
11th - Nicholas Bogas - 6'0" LHD. 1G/10A in 46 USHL GP. Leads all rookie D in scoring @SarniaStingFan mentioned a few weeks ago. *Committed to Michigan state not sure what year*
11th - Easton Walos - 5'11" C. 2G/7A in 42 GP in BCHL (same team Beamish was on). Last yr he had 89 points in 58 games. Supposed to be a pretty good player. *not committed anywhere*
2023: they'd be 18 next season
8th - Nicholas Kosiba - 6'0" RW. 4G/4A in 33 USHL GP. *committed to western michigan for 2026-2027.
8th - Patrick Quinlan - 6'2 G. 10-5-0, 0.876 Sv%. *committed to Notre Dame for next season*
14th - Chase Jette - 5'10" winger. 8G/8A in 46 USHL GP. *committed to wisconsin for 2026-2027*
On the likelihood scale I'd have to guess Kosiba is at the top. Isn't being given any ice time by Waterloo. He liked my tweet back in DEC about me wanting Sarnia to sign him too lol.
Bogas or Walos would be really nice. Bogas especially is supposed to be pretty damn good. But if he's committed for 26-27 wouldn't feel as great. If he was for 2 years it would be massive. Potential #1 D to replace Fischer in 26-27.
Quinlan is weird. Was very highly touted, but he's had a rough yr going by the stats. I cant imagine he'd get any starts at Notre Dame next yr so I wonder if he's a real possibility with starting goalie being a huge ? for us. could guarantee him 45-50 starts. High upside.
Jette is a solid player. Be a boost up front, but if he's only here 1 season not sure its worth it.
Also mentioned free agents so no clue who that would be obviously. A forward with some size would be perfect. Or maybe that's where they find a goalie.
for sure. sucks they don't have a guy like Pridham for Kitchener who is a CHI 3rd rounder. Naturally they started going safer which I liked & then the NCAA CHL agreement happened, haha.Idk I think bogas would be the only player I’d want, Kosiba had a good AAA career but was on absolutely stacked little Caesars teams. There you have it the GM is absolutely "giggly" about where the team is currently and he knew all along it may come down to the last game of the season! And you all were afraid he had no idea what he was doing .... it's been the "PLAN" all along.
Hopefully 9thGuess we are back on this thread now lol.
Ill have to disagree on Fischer - Young not being a good 1-2, but everyone views things differently!
Wild how fast this fun, nothing but positive season has gone. Always blows my mind how quickly these seasons go by.
3 whole games left & each one is their biggest of the year. Truly no clue what team shows up any night & no clue if they'll finish 7th, 8th or 9th.
Sucks to be view it this way, but I am in the same boat.Hopefully 9th![]()
8th would be the worst-case scenario. I know people don't agree with me but I want them to finish 7th. The young guys need to learn how to play playoff hockey. Windsor is a very tough hockey team but I think the Sting would be able to play a tight game or two against them. Seeing the level that top players like Greentree and Protas play on a night-to-night basis would be good for the rookies (especially Di Iorio and Edwards). If they lose to WSR & FLT, I'd want them to lose on Sunday. Until then, I'll be cheering for them to win because I think missing the playoffs back-to-back years will create bad habits next seasonSucks to be view it this way, but I am in the same boat.
If I had to guess we finish 8th lol.
OS - @ BAR, KIT & vs GUE.
SSM - @ SBY, vs SAG & SAR.
SAR - @ WSR, vs FLT, @ SSM.
