Assuming Seca isn't lying (why would he) about some older draft picks wanting to come over.. Here are the guys that would fit that bill.
2024: they'd be 17 next season
11th - Nicholas Bogas - 6'0" LHD. 1G/10A in 46 USHL GP. Leads all rookie D in scoring
@SarniaStingFan mentioned a few weeks ago. *Committed to Michigan state not sure what year*
11th - Easton Walos - 5'11" C. 2G/7A in 42 GP in BCHL (same team Beamish was on). Last yr he had 89 points in 58 games. Supposed to be a pretty good player. *not committed anywhere*
2023: they'd be 18 next season
8th - Nicholas Kosiba - 6'0" RW. 4G/4A in 33 USHL GP. *committed to western michigan for 2026-2027.
8th - Patrick Quinlan - 6'2 G. 10-5-0, 0.876 Sv%. *committed to Notre Dame for next season*
14th - Chase Jette - 5'10" winger. 8G/8A in 46 USHL GP. *committed to wisconsin for 2026-2027*
On the likelihood scale I'd have to guess Kosiba is at the top. Isn't being given any ice time by Waterloo. He liked my tweet back in DEC about me wanting Sarnia to sign him too lol.
Bogas or Walos would be really nice. Bogas especially is supposed to be pretty damn good. But if he's committed for 26-27 wouldn't feel as great. If he was for 2 years it would be massive. Potential #1 D to replace Fischer in 26-27.
Quinlan is weird. Was very highly touted, but he's had a rough yr going by the stats. I cant imagine he'd get any starts at Notre Dame next yr so I wonder if he's a real possibility with starting goalie being a huge ? for us. could guarantee him 45-50 starts. High upside.
Jette is a solid player. Be a boost up front, but if he's only here 1 season not sure its worth it.
Also mentioned free agents so no clue who that would be obviously. A forward with some size would be perfect. Or maybe that's where they find a goalie.
