Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Think that is Wishful thinking from the Letang side. He doesn't have a choice if he makes it to end of season that would be lucky, but wont last long in off season. Anyone that has been around hockey at all sees that Letang just isn't right for this team and actually affects it negatively

He took a stick to the eye with a lot of force. Was very serious. I had heard recently they were hopeful he was gonna be ok, but shortly after that they put out he's done for the season.
So not sure if its them just being extra safe or if he suffered a set back. Hopefully its the first part & he can come back next season.

Issue is if Legwand is cheap. So far there's been no real indications of that, but with Letang having one more year on his deal some owners would definitely let him finish so they aren't paying multiple coaches. Be a luxury if he stepped into the role, but he might not want too or have his whole family move here.
Not to mention if they figure it out & finish strong to get 6th (unlikely) then how would they view the season? If they get 7th & push Windsor to 6 like they did 3 years ago when everyone expected them to be swept does that do anything?
I know it wouldn't for us, but would it for Legwand & the others up top?

Surely there is a buy-out clause in Letangs contract... who knows what percentage it is tho.... could be 80... 50... who knows. ... This organization has a way of gaslighting the fans... The choke vs LDN was branded as a success by them and Letang... the casuals ate it up but us on here knew better.... This year they will say ohh rebuilding, were young, what did you expect.... If thats the way they brand this year then I don't feel like many changes are coming.... at this point I feel like the players are tired of Letang and a change is needed... like the players are admitting their prackys are garbage which is a HUGE red flag... The ultimate way for Legwand to save money is to fire Letang, eat his buy out salary and coach the team himself. Also, if you're Letang, why would you want to come back to Sarnia and a GM who doesn't listen to what you want.... Again, I would be shocked if Letang is back but with this organization anything is possible.

Sounds like the Sting/Beamish got a bit lucky. He's already back practicing as is Luecke. Don't think either is back this weekend, but next week might be the hope. They initially feared it being season ending so that's some good news.

With OS unexpected W today. And if we lose both games this weekend. Theirs a good chance we are out of a playoff spot after this weekend.
Not making playoffs anyway while Letang is still here. Just misguided bunch now and with jefferies heading the pp chances fall even further. Owen sound is a well coached team.
Maillet starts Moses still on L2. Young to 2nd pair Hurt to top pair and Omeri is back in.

Zero confidence in a win tonight, but we need to see some pride/desperation. Cant roll over and accept defeat like the last 2 games vs WSR. At least keep it close.

Maybe they wanna give him as many starts to see what they truly have, but that's never been Letang's style. He damn well wouldn't start Thornton because he viewed Gaudreau as the #1.
He was red hot in DEC/JAN & he wouldn't give him consistent starts & now he's struggling a bit & u give him B2B vs the 2 highest scoring teams?? When you're playing horrendous hockey? When you have an OA #1 G??

See, I'm kind of the opposite. Both games in Sarnia were very close so I don't expect anything near what happened in Windsor.

Sarnia probably played better in Windsor in those losses than they did vs SSM, GUE, PBO...
So yah... Can't say I'm expecting it to be close. Would love to be wrong!
LETANG is hoping Surzycia can get win Sunday. Doesnt want to blow his confidence to fight getting peppered.
Doesnt help Maillet and his confidence if D doesn t come to play not sure why 27 in top 6. But not surprised with our Coach. Why is Brown still 1st line with how he has been playing. Karimov has been more dangerous IMO and 24 top 6 doesnt make sence should be Karimov forsure. Need players like simpson and Franchesschetti in line up tonight what are we thinking coach?

It's good to see him re-appear.... 6 goals for this team is quite the offensive explosion. If I'm Letang and I wanna keep my job I ride Edwards, Di Lorio, Karimov, manza and beamish to the end. I don't need to see much more of Filak, wainwright and Doucette ... When a combo of Brown, Di Lorio, Karimov and Edwards are on the ice at the same time they look great. Letang needs to be putting those guys out together WAY more.

Fischer OT winner + 3 assists. Absolutely burned by Protas on the winner who stared down the Sting bench 3 times tonight after goals for Windsor. What a moment for the captain!
Brown sticks up for Filak. Scores & has 2A + a sick backhand sauce in OT to spring Fischer. That's big time. What a gamer.
That was up there for Edwards this season. He was unbelievable. I'm so goddamn impressed in the ways he scores goals. He does it in every way. 21 now for the rookie.
Di Iorio 3 assists. As always battled so hard defensively. As mature a 16 yr old I've seen on the ice. Karimov ON THE ICE with an empty net & look what happens!!!! Helluva time for Hall to get his 1st too. Sure that's a huge relief for him.
Maillet was absolutely stellar. 42/47. Don't even know how many of high quality. Including multiple in OT. Credit to Letang i guess! Started the rook and he stole them 2 points.
Means F all if they turn and lose to NB Sunday (who beat Flint tonight) but that's a potential season turning point man. What a win.

Crazy how one game can change things.... now were looking at Flint in the 6 spot rather than Soo and O.S behind us... There is no doubt the locker room was buzzing after that one... keep the momentum please... OHL is a scoring league so keep scoring lol.Hopefully this kind of opens the flood gates for Brown.
Stole 2 points tonight caught Windsor sleeping in 3rd normally its us. Anyway This win is nothing letang he had his usual bad calls game management.as always. I disagree with StingUpdates filak and Doucette played solid minutes and without wainwright filak and Doucette would have been blowout. Filak and wainwright don't get enough credit especially wainwright, he had quick 1 Timer from Fischer to assist to Karimov rebound. Filak made good sauce pass to Edward's on his quick shot goal. Not sure Why StingUpdates doesnt see whole game just what wants to see. Anyway after fischers worst last 6 games of year comes back with a solid Game tonight need that coming home here on out. Maybe playing with Hurt Helped him. Will admit Doucette wasn't involved much tonight but had some moments. Good showing for Maillet tonight gave up 5 but team stepped up to get him 6. I would love to see Edward's Karimov and BRown together then wainwright doucette and filak together maybe get some jump out of those vets playing at different speed together. But we won't see that cause Letang won't put brown with 2 rooks.

lol it was me who said that not updates. I stand by it. I see this team being lead by the young guys... The vets are just along for the ride. Filak and Doucette just don't do it for me. Wainwright is hit or miss... They're all older guys who see a lot of ice time and don't do a ton with it... Whereas Karimov doesn't see a lot of ice but when he does he usually makes an impact. I'd love more Karimov and less Doucette. Filak is alright but you expect more from a 2004 guy
