Sarnia Sting 2022-23 Season Thread (Part 3)

I feel like in every big win we've had this yr Ritchie has come thru with a big block at the end. Hard pressed to find many better OA groups than ours.

Such heart & soul players on top of the points they put up. Mast continues to also be an absolute stud for us.

Haven't seen many D take over a game like Del Mastro did tonight. Least for the Sting over the years. It's like once the 2nd started he decided he wasn't gonna be stopped.

My god it would be nice to win again tomorrow at home, but it's gonna be so tough to beat a team like LDN 2 times in 24 hours. Hopefully it's another great game

Can’t ask for much more than we saw last night.
But can sure hope we see the same level of play. Another pretty good 3rd period close out.
Great game from 70. For my money, he was flawless in London. Goal 1 - good aggressive play that I’d hope he’d make 100 times out of 100 - if he doesn’t move out he gets beat without the pass. Goal 2 just crap luck.
Hope we get 2 in a row from him tonight.

Del Maestro skated over the Knights defence and set up a beauty goal.
I'm not a Sting supporter (Attack), but that was a great entertaining game last night, both ways.
In typical fashion the Knights score late and the outcome was in doubt till the final buzzer .

Le Tang has a great group there .

You guys are finally starting to see them gel. I think you'll see your team slowly, steadily climb the standings and finish strong.

Gaudreau finally settling in . Not many flaws . Enjoy the ride.

The western division is strong, Windsor Sarnia, even Saginaw.

Yes, I agree with you on everything. So great for Benny have a strong performance, and to get a big win on a nationally televised game. I hope the hive is buzzing tonight, going to be a lot of green there as always. Let’s be loud!

Would love that. We've missed his intensity. Though, I have been loving Fischer's game. Letang must be too because he had him out with under 6 minutes last night which to me said a lot.

He's definitely the biggest piece we have moving forward. NHL scouts gotta be excited about him.

fingers crossed Hoover can stay healthy from here on out. Has had such rotten luck.

Just gonna be super tough. You know Hunter tinkered with some things & they'll come in hot. Bowen has been even better than Brochu & he starts tonight.

Looking at Lantz, Vilmanis & Voit to step it up. They were solid last night but they can be better. Can't always be 36, 73 & 86 scoring the goals. Let's have some fun!

My favorite period of hockey I've seen this team play this season. Absolute domination.

Can we talk about Vilmanis' goal? Oh my god he made Mailoux look like it was his rookie debut on that! Real highlight reel stuff.

Listening to the game online. Good second period by both teams. Score could have been 5-0 for Sarnia had it not been for Bowen. Hope Sarnia holds on to this lead in the third period. The Knights are a team that doesn't let up nor take their foot off the gas.

Man. I hate to blame him. I really fricken do. But that game was in the BAG for 50 minutes until that SHG, Gaudreau handed them.

Hated that 2nd goal too. Terrible rebound. He played awesome the first 50 & in OT, but f*cking eh that just can't happen.

Take 3/4, but it should've been 4/4. Controlled the entire game. God that sucks. Crowd was electric & into it & then OF COURSE we blow it. Of course. Because it's what we do.

I leave the weekend encouraged as all heck at how we stack up w/LDN, but f*ck me tonight sucks.

Crowd was roaring. Up 3 after winning last night it finally felt like we were taking that next step.

Brett Brochu played his first game last night since a injury February 6th…. a bit rusty….. definitely didn’t suck …. our rookie backup just beat the Sting tonight..… hopefully we have another great game next Friday against the Sting ….
