Sarnia will be picking 13th & 31st in the opening 2 rounds. Name to keep an eye on will be Gabe Perreault who is Jacob's little brother. Supposed to be a fairly high pick.

Missing our 2nd,4th & 13th but we have the rest of our picks including Eries 2nd, Osh 9th , King 11th & Guelph 15th which I believe is conditional.

Sting will have 30th pick because Niagara has no pick in round 1 due to recruiting violations.

Projected top 25 pick...with the Sting picking 13th, do you think it's a given that they take him if he's still there?

Honestly not sure. You gotta think familiarity could be pretty big in a year like this. This will really show u what teams go the extra mile for future scouting.

Sarnia has taken 1 D in round 1 since 2005 & that was Chychrun 1st Overall. Might be time to take one. Especially with 3 OA D on the team for 2021-2022.

Ben Gaudreau wins gold!!

Named player of the game AND Goalie of the tournament!! Simply sensational after more than a year off.

Now we need to see him back in yellow dominating the O. After he is drafted that is.
I can't wait to see him with the Sting next year!

I hope sarnia takes a two way defenceman in the first round, as far as Perreault goes he might be telling teams he will only sign in sarnia because of his brother. So maybe sarnia can take him in the 2nd or 3rd, who knows but I think that very well could be the case.

This summer is pretty huge for the direction of this team. I'd say the goal is to build a team that can win in the 2022-2023 season when Gaudreau, Geci, Voit, Mast, Dann, O'Donnell are 19.

You can't waste Gaudreau who will probably be the best goalie we've ever had. This year's team will be just to inexperienced at forward. Could have upwards of 8-10 guys that haven't had 2 OHL seasons.

Hope is (IMO) that they are competitive with an older defense & Gaudreau in net but will lack consistent scoring past Perreault who could be quite the trade chip to acquire assets for the following yr when we go for it.

Gabe Perreault taking part in the USNTDP scrimmages in Plymouth this week. Wonder if he will stay and play states side? Wouldn't blame him.

One option that we haven't mentoined yet is he could play with the USNTDP for two years and then come to the OHL similar to what Sting alumni Reid Boucher and Connor Murphy did.

Sarnia definately has the inside track on him.

Could be good for Sarnia. If he wants to play one year with his brother then we get a steal. And we have Jacob as a legitimate source on if he wants to go NCAA.

It's also about time we take a Dman in round 1.. in the last 17 years we have taken two (2!!!) D in round 1. Mark Katic & Chychrun. Not a coincidence we rarely have an elite Dcore.

Thank you for sharing that. Are the committed players listed on the showcase website?

Interesting to see Rea. Was a prospect who caught my eye last rookie camp. Super speedy, energetic player. Sleeper to make the team.

Super excited to see Namestnikov vs OHL talent. Hopefully Mast/Voit/Dann can show well for the scouts.
