Primeau is terrible -1.5 per game 5v5 vs expected.

We have a 27 years old 6ft4 goalie who is .935 in the A, keep Dobes there so he gets more volume, call up Hughes, send down Primeau.

Primeau doesn’t get claim 100%c, and if he does, who cares
Right. The Primeau experiment has lasted long enough.

Monty's last 5 games: 107 saves on 114 SOG for a .939 SV%
He isn't a vezina calibre guy, but his numbers are being affected by shoddy D.

Monty has shown he can be lights out, but can he stay dialed in game-to-game? I think he can keep improving his consistency, and if the team is turning the corner defensively, it should help swing things.

I don't think he can be a workhorse #1 a-la Hellebuyck or prime-Price
But he can work in a #1A-B sortof configuration.
Hellebuyck becomes HellYaISuck in the playoffs because he's fatigued.

I don't know what happened, but you can't have a goalie play 60+ games now.

I was listening to the team 1200 and they were talking about how Brodeur didn't really get hurt until he started working out/late in his career..

We need some fat f***s to man the net and a dude with the nickname "Snacks" sounds promising

Montembeault .906% save percentage playing behind our defense. Put him on Team Canada you get quality netminding. Playing behind Makar, Pietrangelo, Theodore, Morrisey, Toews.

Same thing happened at the World Championships 2 seasons ago, Monty was a key piece of that Gold medal team.

Has been playing well of late. You can tell the team plays better in front of Montembeault. Im excited to see what we can do on this home stretch. 5 homes with no back to back. I'd say Monty plays all 5

Brodeur played a different style that was less taxing than your traditional butterfly guy.

From being on waivers to being the Canadiens starter and named on Team Canada alongside Crosby and McDavid 🤩

What a crazy story and a great example to never quit and keep working

Very happy for him
He is just now hitting his prime. Remember how bad he was when we first got him? He handles Montreal pressure very well

But HF told me last year that he was playing over his head to screw up the tank and that he'd come back down to earth this year.

Montembeault deserves it. He has .902% save percentage but playing for worst team defensively in league
Yeah league average save percentage right now is .902. League average numbers on a far below average team is way more than you should expect from him. It was hard to imagine he could have developed into something when he first got claimed but he has

Yeah and he was getting absolutely shelled under ducharme. He looked like nothing more than a plug to get you through that miserable season. But he got much better under msl, and he's earned his keep and the trust of his team as the #1 guy.
