GDT: Salt Lake Showdown | CBJ @ Utah | 9 PM EST

Great passing but like some of you guys, thought they screwed that up. I was about to say a 2-0 and no shot attempt!

Great game by Tarasov. Good to finally win on the 2nd game of back to back. Way to not quit after going down 2-0 in the 3rd.
Real close because Silly had the puck so close to his skates but he fought it off to get it back over.

Team had no business winning that game. Went out and just stole it. Haven’t seen this team fight like this… ever.
It feels like these were the type of wins they were not getting earlier in the season. These last two games have been very encouraging for this team's near future.

Do not trade Sillinger, Don.

Start to feel like they are going to do this for Johnny … team is now adjusting to what the opponent is doing , playing patient and waiting to strike . Defense and goalie play have been lights out … we are 4 points from 1st in the east

Werenski has a complete next gear that he’s shifted into. He reminds me of Panarin in that anytime the puck is on his stick, there is a high potential of a goal.
He's a brand new player. He's not lethargic like he used to be, he's all out at his best all the time. He's f***ing unplayable is what he is. Just non stop headache for opposing teams. Top top player.

The Jackets are good enough now that even when the other team has the last change, they can still grind out a win if they stay out of the box and get at least "B" grade play in net. The goalie doesn't have to stand on their head to win road games anymore.

The way he is all over the ice all the time reminds me of McDavid. He looks like he's making twice as many reads as everyone else and has the speed to carry out what he sees. Very many actions per minute.

Not to McDavid's extent of course^

Zach broke up the play but I couldn't tell if he went down or not due to the boards blocking our view. When he emerged with the puck and Silly on his own I was ready to see them convert and wow did they

I can't believe what this team is doing. I'm saying it every game.

Once Monahan went down we just shifted gears and started grinding teams down. They can win in a lot of games. Full credit to Evason, he has everyone clicking like never before. Another great goalie game too. They just never quit.

Very good description of him. He's thinking the game at a level that is near that of McDavid. Like McDavid, every single play that z makes has a purpose to it. There's hardly any indecision in his game and his error rate is so low given how often he has control of the puck.

He's every bit the Norris candidate that Makar is and he doesn't have a McKinnon to play off of.

Torts really saw his potential when he made him the so-called Rover. While he's always been a good NHL player he's definitely taken the leap this year into the realm of the Superstar.

I think he's moved himself into legitimate Hart Trophy consideration.

The idea that a goalie can't play two games in a row is laughable. They had an hour or so long flight after a 5-minute trip to the airport probably were in their hotel by 1:00 local time at the latest as they gained an hour.

Normally I wouldn't care, but I do have a money line on the jackets tonight. LOL

Elvis was describing why he had been playing better, and among many other things he mentioned something like "now that the goalies are getting their proper rest". This seems to be his preference.

I would have described the last two periods vs the Knights that way. Tonight they were just pooped. We really did get badly outplayed. Werenski and Tarasov and a couple other big contributors won it for us tonight, on a night where we otherwise stank it up. Nice to be that team - we've usually been on the other side of that in years past where a few skill plays wipe out a great night's work.
