Funny it’s ok if sim gets 5 games for saying a word now sag fans thinks it’s unfair 💁‍♂️
No Saginaw fans said it wasn’t fair. One said the situation isn’t ideal and another non-Saginaw poster compared it to Parekh getting less for an act many see as more egregious. That’s all.

This is the same league that only suspended Parekh 2 games but allowed him to go to the top prospects game while they thought about it for spitting in 2 players faces intentionally in a show of complete disrespect.
But saying a word is 5 games.
What a show.
league loves to protect its stars

Also do not forget there is a new sheriff in town. Greg Kimmerly who hands out suspensions. He may be different than the person previously.

Sima laysbon the ice, traininer comes out and does not miss a shift. Epperson not only lays on the ice but rolls around on it showing that he is in so much pain, goes to the bench and the Jumbotron shows him laughing while skating to the bench ....magically he is ready and missed 5 seconds of the PP haha. Must have the magic soccer spray us Canadians can't obtain.
Someone is too new to remember Brankley's magic touch.

Penalties and inconsistent play I think would be the story of the early part of this season.

You have to wonder if we have enough in the tank. I hope they turn it around or why not build for the future. They could go on a winning streak, sure or losing. Drinkill has his hands full the wrong decisions could be detrimental. We need some quality games and our best players being just that. Some guys have been of to very slow starts.

They beat good team's like Brampton, London, Erie. They've also lost to the Petes, The needs are still the same. Cheryshov needs to get into the line up. Need 2 D. That hasn't changed. I agree some of the other guys down the line up need to pull more weight. Misa and Epperson aren't going to have 3 point nights every game. I think we'll know by the end of the month which way we should be leaning between go for it or sell.

Good couple of bounce back games after laying a stinker against the Petes. Last 7 minutes of that game took forever as both teams seemed ready to kill each other. Wednesday could be ugly.

Well didn't love the flat start last night but they aren't ever out of hockey game I guess. Thank you to Joey Willis for taking over the last 35 minutes or so of play. 5 goals. A new single game record in Spirit history. Can't expect to come away with a W with the same kind of start against Erie on Friday.

Was mentioned on the London thread about Bloom and if we had any OA in pro hockey. Jorian Donovan has played 8 games with zero points and is splitting 3rd pairing TOI. Well it probably will never happen that would be a game changer. I can dream about it. Good night.

Don’t ever expect that kind of move again. That was such a rare even. Everyone thinks they’re getting their star OA back now. NHL are fine letting guys rot on 3rd lines or in the ECHL before sending guys* back to junior.

(*I am talking about players that were drafted in their first year of eligibility and were signed the first time around.)

Official statement from the league

This post is not popular with most posters that read this, It is addressed to all of us, not just one in particular. I write it for the protection of young hockey players, for all teams and looking for their support from true hockey fans and family men and women

It is unfortunate if Ethan Hay suspension, as well as are for Hattingen and Boulton of London, regardless of their disgraceful acts, don't find their ways to our public forums for continued personal defaming attacks. I understand the difficulties for all of us to restrain from public comments. What players say or do on the ice, they have responsibilities to answer to, it is for the on-ice refs and the league to handle them. I'll defend and support all junior team aged players for or against alike, against any embarrassment on our public Forums. As I defended Parekh and Braden Haché in our London Threads last season against a barrage of humiliating comments, as I defended many other junior hockey players from other teams in recent years. I will defend any public defamation and degrading comments for our amusement from all junior hockey teams, leagues or countries. Chirping does not mean humiliating a player in public. We do have private forums for private comments, if diplomacy is not part of our language

There will be time enough to deal with public humiliation when they reach the pro levels and adulthood, let's not advance it for them and break up the little bit of kids life left in them. If they break rules, small or big, we have on ice officials and league personnel to handle them. If they break the law, we all have a good legal system and police force to handle any law-breakers including young hockey players, they are not exempt from the law. Let the kids have the little fun left, and let them learn facts of life in their own environment. Protection against mental illness, early undesired retirement, taking the wrong path of illegal substance, and there I say, suicidal as well. We are fans, let's all be responsible fans before we write in public forums

I thank you all in the names of the kids for your attention
