Well it’s finally here. Hope the guys are healthy and focused for the CHL bragging rights and lefts. Our best guys have to step up and a hot goalie is an obvious advantage. Best luck and may the best team win.

Week long party time in Saggy! For the local businesses I'm sure it'll be a good week with all the visitors n media attention. Fans traveling..... have a great time ( both times in London 99% were well behaved and had a blast) and enjoy the games.

How ironic you are starting your Memorial Day weekend today and begin to chase the Memorial Cup.
The tournament has little scheduling quarks that favour the host team.
Hope you guys take advantage and win for some of your Windsor connections. We’ll be cheering for you.

Agreed! but I think the 2018-19 team was ever better.... and then the brain fart!

Have to agree that 18-19 team was deep. Losing Prosvetov was crucial even though Lennox played well.
Gilmour 7th Det
Tippett 1st 10th
Coskey 7th NYI
Jenkins 5th NYI
McLeod 2nd Edm
Perfetti 1st Win
Giroux 5rd Min
Millman 4th Phil
Wilde 2nd NYI
Webb 6th Det
Prosvetov 4th Ari
Lennox rd3 NYI
Porco 5th Dal
Cardwell 5th SJ
Was a great series this year’s team has many good players and same HC + GM.

Good luck, fellas!

Loved my last few visits to Saginaw. Wish I could get up for a game, but won't make it this year.

The turnout so far for the opening is much better than I was expecting. There is a beautiful group of people from all over. Lots of moose jaw jerseys too.

I’ve been to the past couple tournaments and this is a better turnout so far. It’s great to see.

Much better job getting their puck out if their end until the 3 quick ones. Team looked like they had 75% more energy. Missed the last 11 minutes as I did not set to tape for extra time but will check the replay out tomorrow.

Great experience last night. Good to see the local enthusiasm for the cup. Beautiful rink and friendly people. Saginaw has a great team and I think are the slight favourites. Hoping my Knights win today and match Saginaw’s 1-0. Cheers.

This will be a great game can’t wait.

Drummondville got their chances yesterday- Simpson was just too good.

London is not 4 goals better than them. Should be a close game between you guys and them

I know it’s a Sunday night, but why not a full barn?!
I agree. Pretty bad the m cup hosts can’t fill 5500. Only got 4600 according to website but according to stats since covid this has become the norm.

Kamloops last year had an average of 5378 per game but arena holds 6400.

Year before that St John got 5136 per game and arena holds 6307

You’d think the host teams would be able to pack it within atleast a few hundred.

Possibly the price of tickets has something to do with it
