He’s top 5 D in the league. Being an import doesn’t change that. Either ante up or don’t.
It will change the dynamic of the trade and make things more complicated. If he’s moved though, it’s gonna be close to the normal stud D “maximum” I’d think. Maybe not full on but it’ll be like one less 3rd or something maybe. If he rounds out his game this year? SOMEbody will pay.

They traded O'Donnell to Barrie. How they got anything for O'Donnell ill never know. One of the worst skating forwards ive seen in the league. Like he was skating in quicksand. Would need insane talent to make up for it and just not there plus his age doesnt fit time line.

Never really saw anything from Klein to warrent a roster spot this year. Moore looks to be a younger, more skilled version of him. Heck I thought Fink was better as well as at least he brought some jam. Plus this whole thing. No idea if he was involved but he would have been at Victus at this time. If Saginaw had any idea he was involved or knew they were going to immediately cut ties. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.6525152

Yeah. i think there's one of two mind sets Drinkell can have here.

1) We HAVE to move Mintyukov to get assets back. In which case they likely compromise on the price a bit to ensure they get something for him.

2) We can move Mintyukov IF the offer is right. Which is more what your suggesting. They might take a pick off in negotiations but it will basically be what I suggested earlier.

I don't think they need to add a ton of assets for their next upcoming window. They'll get a decent amount from Bloom. They are likely in mindset 2. Like I said before, I don't know if they actually move Mintyukov unless the price is right.

if they could have traded him, do you think they decided not too? drinkel opted not to trade him and just release him? or is it more logical that they really tried to trade him and there were no takers.

And there's the OA F I thought we'd be adding. Cheap price for a 20 goal/50 pt player. Love the addition to take pressure off the young guys. Wonder if this means Misa slides to wing, at least for this year, to ease him into the league? Sapo-Hill-McNamara is pretty solid down the middle for your top 9.

Could be the new forward lines eventually. Slide Misa into Hill's spot in 23/24. Looks Pretty solid to me.

Bloom-Sapo-Loukas
Misa-Hill-Mangone
Gervais-McNamara-Codd
Brown-Willis-Moore

You will like him, he’s good defensively and on the PK , and he’s real fast. Plays hard , I’d imagine he’s gets in the 60 point range if he has solid wingers.

This is absolutely a playoff team. Guelph, Kitchener, Windsor, Owen Sound, Flint and then Saginaw

If Saginaw can play this season like they did in the 3rd period in front of thier EBUG watch out. Absolutely skated circles around Flint that final period. Was impressed as hell by Parekh. Going to be an insane PP QB and offensive dman by the time hes done in this league.

P.s does Iceland not have cameras for reviews? Saginaws no goal in the second was clearly over the line and even i could see white between the line and puck from the bleachers but they never even acted like they could go to review.

Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves as it is preseason and most teams are missing their top players. Having said that, I like what I see so far

Definitely a lot more talent top to bottom in the roster this year than last. Still incredibly young though. Hill looked like a good addition last night too. Really looked like he took a mentoring role especially to Moore who he was linemates with. There were times too the line of Mangone, Misa, and Willis looked to be unstoppable. Like you said preseason and both teams had players out. But give these guys 20-30 games together and I think alot of people will be surprised at how well they compete this season with "better" teams

Have to like the play of our two 1st rounders, Misa GP-6 G-0 A-6 Pt-6, Parekh GP-6 G-3 A-4 Pt-7. Sure can't hurt their confidence as they familiarize themselves to the OHL. Still a small sample size but watching them and the rest of the club develop is exciting again in Sag.

Even though I don’t think it’s ever coming back the USA, I’d love for Saginaw to put in a bid for this. They’ll have the team and marquee players to market this. Concert area right across the street to host events during. Brand new state of the art scoreboard. Decent size arena (5500). Plenty of hotels/dining 5 min down I-75. Would still have to make a few upgrades in house but at least make them SAY no.
