Is it crazy to think it may have been more important to win this lottery than the other four? They may have drafted Reinhart even if they won, obviously McDavid would have been drafted but him and Eichel are centres. They didn't have great odds to win the past two but they probably wouldn't have drafted a defenceman with the top pick. If you believe everything happens for a reason then today may have been the turning point for the Sabres.
