If he is out it's about as devastating for us as the Oilers losing McJesus in that the first line was completely carrying this team and without it we are headed deep into lottery territory. And before some clown says anything I'm not saying Tage is at McJesus level (nobody in hockey history is) I'm saying he is just as indispensable to us and our success at this point.

Trying to think what the upside is here... they're scoring goals? That's kinda fun lol.

They're WAY too timid on defense. 5 on 5 looked like a penalty kill for a good chunk of the game. Spending so much time trying to be "in position" and prevent the big plays, that they give them all the time and space in the world to wait for one to pop up. Gotta be aggressive and actually win the puck battles. Stop the passes to safety, don't let them dangle around you, etc. It's not good enough to keep them to the outside and hope they mess up.

This game is nonsense, they played great with Ottawa, with the Rangers, with Calgary for half the game and should have led by 4-0, it's just that the team's resources are not endless, they lack quality players. They lack top 4 D, they lack top 6 F, legit guys. Today they were unlucky with injuries, they are not robots.

Is he responsible for injuries or what? This is one game where things didn't go so well, they were on a good run before that, but the coach is using what he has, and he doesn't have a playoff team, this roster is not a playoff team.

Quinn takes stupid shots and in games like this we weren't crashing the net but he's less of a defensive liability( when Benson is out there) than the idiot stuff Krebs does a third of the time( at least it's less w every cocky selfish shift, and he is capable of making up for the idiocy he creates, as will Quinn just less outlandish as cocky Krebs)

he may take half a year to be himself at his best he's as good as peterka , maybe better he'll need to finally trust his body then his shot and then get in sync


If anyone is good enough the Shepard him back it a Benson . he occupies people like Thompson so Quinn and cozens have space to to be and then shed the hesitation stick grabbing overreacting blues. I'm actually not worried about that line

Some of you are a little extra today. We lost tage after 6:30 minutes of play. Down a defensemen not too long after tage went off. Goaltending was a stinker and that's on UPL, but with such a short bench for so much of the game, a win was going to be tough.

That and the refs doing their best to help Montreal as soon as they were down 3-2.
