Give me a break. They already have their starter.Wish we had this guy 5 years ago.
Typical sabres signing.
Get players past their prime no one else wants
I mean, he’s a legitimate experienced goalie who is serving as a #2 or #3 goalie. He gives them an option to keep Devon Levi’s development on a measured level.Kinda grossed out by this signing but whatever he won't be on the team for very long
I really like this signing. I am hoping he is our defacto 2 and Levi gets the starts he needs in Rochester.
What kind of break do you need? How many starts are you giving UPL? 50? 60?Give me a break. They already have their starter.
Reimer was signed as a veteran organizational 2nd or 3rd goalie. What kind of break do you need? How many starts are you giving UPL? 50? 60?
I'd guess Reimer will be #2 (no way he clears waivers)How did they get Reimer at $1M? Less than projection (evolving hockey: 1 year, $1.29M).
You know, we couldn't sign anyone better than Aaron Dell and a retired goalie back when we had a starters role up for grabs.
I can't wrap my head around Reimer being Rochester goalie. Is Adams really going to bank on Reimer as #3 and be confident that he will clear waivers? All it takes is some goalie injuries during training camps and he would be claimed. And then you don't have your #3 goalie or your starter for Rochester.
I'm starting to wonder if Levi will be in Rochester.
Seems probable.I'd guess Reimer will be #2 (now way he clears waivers)
Levi will start in Rochester but get 20ish starts with the Sabres
I’m in line with your thinking. They're certainly making moves to improve the team. But they also seem determined to make sure no more youngsters start with the team. At least outside of the ones already on it.How did they get Reimer at $1M? Less than projection (evolving hockey: 1 year, $1.29M).

Assuming Reimer is the #2, I don’t see Levi getting any games. Not unless UPL/Reimer get injured or one of them has their game fall apart. Getting him games for development purposes is not going to be a thing.I'd guess Reimer will be #2 (no way he clears waivers)

I don't think the idea would be getting Levi him NHL games for development purposes, but the opposite: for NHL wins.Assuming Reimer is the #2, I don’t see Levi getting any games.
