Trying to figure out when I fell out of love with hockey and, though it's ostensibly harder to isolate because the Sabres have been bad for so long, but still, it's 100% when they initated offsides review. I never enjoy goals. So many zone entries are so close, I just wait. The game isn’t in the moment any more for me. Its a game predicated on speed and visceral experience. But now, I just wait. I celebrate goals on puck drop. I might as well be reading the box score in the paper the next day.

You know what... I'm fine with that penalty from Clifton. Our D-men are usually so damned passive and avoid contact. Once in a while you need to sort of knock someone on their asses just to keep them somewhat honest.

He's really, really deficient, too passive in how he handles these situations.
