Sabres Imbedded, Trade Deadline 2025

The whole thing was cringe and Adams sounds like he couldn't manage a school playground at recess time.

Oh Brother

Listen (and watch)

They cut away from his face, spliced in the '2 years, 4.75M' in and cut back from to his face.

He said "He says he wants to be here, he loves these guys,he wants to see it through, you told me this at 1 in the morning last night (video cuts away from his mouth) 2 years. 4.75 (audio cuts, video cuts back).......you gotta work with us'

Kevyn must have final edit on these things to make him seem like a hardass negotiator and he got what he wanted. I honestly thought it was just staged after they signed the contract, it wouldn't make sense to say the exact terms of the contract there.

Realizing that it was spliced together to make him look better is much funnier.

90% of members here wanted a hockey trade at the deadline and Cozens moved. Whether it will turn out well we will see (his last deal for McLeod looks good so far, it would be nice to actually see Norris). You can't have it both ways.

But bashing in "EVERY" thread is just going to make it unbearable torture and other members quit here.

you wanted a deadline hockey deal, Cozens gone, and said interesting or something when it went down. What changed from the video?
nothing changed, its still fire Kevin

I don't care what other fans/posters wanted. Limiting the amount of options/teams you have to work with, as some teams are sellers, and some teams are looking to load up for the playoffs and not looking to impact their dressing rooms too much, DURING the season to move a guy with years on his contract, when your season is practically over, is shooting yourself in the foot just for the sake of shooting your foot. The "Culture" change and other team defining moves should've been made way back before the season began, or even during that "The answer is in the room" time of the season.

I thoroughly enjoyed the part with the doctor feeling 100% comfortable about Norris' injury, and then Norris plays a couple games and we find out he's been dealing with his current injury for a while. Most valuable ability is availability...except for the Sabres.

Hahah my favorite line by far surprised they left that in.
From the things Adams said leading up to those comments, it wasn’t malicious. It was them trying to find Joker a new “home” since he no longer fit in their plans and being happy they did. So it’s not surprising they left it in. None of these guys strike me as petty jerks in the way some are taking those comments.

Our team doctors must be trolling Adams. "Eichel's head will fall off with this surgery"
"Norris is 100% healthy"

With Norris missing pretty much all of February, I doubt they said he was 100% healthy. I think they were saying the shoulder wasn't a red flag for them and they were comfortable with that not being a long term issue worthy of not trading for the guy.

Looking at the clip, I'm curious if Adams was talking about Norris' CURRENT injury and NOT the shoulder injury, which he's been dealing with, and the doctors were 100% comfortable about THAT injury. I feel that would make more sense with the timeline of events of the Sabres looking to acquire him.
