Slafkovsky-Suzuki-Caufield is already one of the best lines in the NHL, the idea is to add another line to that which is one of the best lines in the NHL.
I don't know, apparently Slafkovsky is the weakest link on that line and should be replaced. He should stay there to balance the lines. Superstar Caufield will be the line driver so he gets his own line according to many.

Can't he just go home and get suspended if they send him down? He doesn't need to go play in the MHL or VHL he could just stay home and wait for his contract to end. What are they gonna do like arrest him?

What would the benefit be sitting in Moscow waiting for his contract to expire? At least he's playing hockey if he's sent down, and with his brother if its to the VHL.

I don't think it's the end of the world or anything, but if it were up to me, I'd prefer he spend the time in the gym than with Junior players. Going from a high speed game to a low speed one isn't going to do him any favors, though I don't think it'll hurt him.

Depends on the person/player I suppose. Playing a few weeks with his brother (VHL), or very close friends like Polyakov and Nedopyokin (MHL) for the last time seems like infinitely more fun for him than gym work right before the season ends. It's not like a few weeks in VHL/MHL is gonna hurt his development.
But each to their own.

All good teams balance their lines. At one point Pens had Kessel on their 3rd line just because to could. Slaf brings something unique to Susuzki and Caufield and that line will keep improving in the next 2 years. Demidov should be on the 2nd line.

Those same SKA owners, which is state owned Gazprom, are letting Nikishkin out of his contract…
Nikishin has played 3 x seasons for SKA. They will reward him by letting him out of his contract due to time served. They won't do that for Demidov, a 1-year player. They want at least 3 x years out of players before letting them go.

They will not do Demi any favors once the season is up.

The kid is such a gamer. Wow

Slafkovsky-Suzuki-Demidov

Could potentially be the best line in the NHL in 2 years, I'm not even joking.

Don't touch a already one of the best line in NHL with Slaf-Suzuki-Caufield, who can be even better.

Demidov will be the perfect guy for Laine at 5v5, just add a true top 6 C and it's going to sound like a 1st line aswell haha!

Hagel - B.Point - Kucherov

Slafkovsky - Suzuki - Demidov

See the similarity ?
Almost feel like a copy paste imo.

Laine and Caufield on the second line with a left handed defensive minded center (in the mold of Anthony Cirelli) could work as a good second line.
