Rumor: Sabres finalizing another trade (not Byram)

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
If it is indeed a Tuch sign-and-trade to Seattle, then Seattle has to maybe get a new general manager. You don't build championship teams through the winger position. They've been drafting centers, sure, but you need defensemen too. Dunn is getting older and is a UFA in 2 years. Larsson and Montour are decent but will be old men when their contracts expire. Lindgren is old and meh. Their D core long term is Ryker Evans and...? Fiddler is a promising RHD prospect. Not "top pairing" promising, but promising. Maybe one or two of their other D prospects make it, but none of them are projected to be top 4 guys.

Why on Earth would he sign with Seattle?

They should definitely trade it (for the right piece). They are way better than Ottawa who didnt want to take a step back. How many god damn top 10 picks have the Buffalo Sabres had in the last 15 years?

One win away from ECF.

Lots of guys entering their primes. They cant revert to the old Sabres way of just draft high. They need to change the culture.

Dont be a f***ing loser.

One of the reasons they sucked for so long was because they tried to microwave their rebuild with trades that didn’t build a culture. Getting Evander Kane and Lehner sent them backwards instead of progressing.
