That's been the problem with the PP for over 15 years. People stand still, they make slow decisions to pass around the perimeter, and hope they can set up a slap shot or something.
Garbage PP continues. The Sabres simply do not possess the skill level needed to play a quick precise passing find the open man power play. Especially using the new PP1 line up.

When Eichel got the puck, you sat up a bit in your seat positively anxious about what might happen. A bit like when Bert started a rush. Or Patty and Alex would rush up ice.
Sabres have nothing like that anymore. Peterka has totally lost his jam. Tuch is a shadow of himself. Almost as many pucks die on Thompson's stick as on Cozen's. Frankly, this core is a lost cause.

I know your trying to be humorous, but we should never kid about head injuries, I just hope he's being taken care of correctly.
Ruff and staff are not right for this group. 2 power plays in a row where Krebs is on the 1st unit. Krebs has no offensive skill whatsoever let alone being on the 1st group. Team made a mistake hiring Ruff. Get rid of him and get a hardass coach who will demand accountability. Fans see so many things that are being done incorrectly ,yet the coaching staff are blind or do not care

You could read the expression on Ruff's face after Byram interfered with Eller. Like "WTF is going on here?".
Old Ruff would have exploded visibly on the bench.
This team would get distracted by the coaching going off would be my guess. He knows it, thus the restraint.
