It’s very tiring to defend like that, but he gets his players to buy-in and obviously the results speak for themselves.

Yeah, they're going to beat us, look like heroes, and then lose in second round. It's like clockwork.

Then Bednar and DeBoer both get fired in the off-season and sign with the other team. Avs with DeBeor and Bednar on Dallas. That's when the real fun begins.

I would’ve laugh seeing fire Bednar threads but right now how can you justify losing to a contender that doesn’t have his #1 dman and goalscorer? We’ve seen that Necas and Mack doesnt work but he keeps going with them? DeBoer has made Bednar his bit** plain and simple. Fire him if we lose this series.

Last gripe of the night: I know it almost ended in a Lehkonen goal, but when Lehkonen gave that puck to Necas in the slot he should have RIPPED that shot.

Why he gave it to MacKinnon who was almost on the goal line I will never understand. Trust yourself. Take that shot, especially as the Stars player was diving at you. Hold it for a second and move around him then pick your corner all alone in the slot.

It's not exactly rocket surgery to slow down the Avs speed and play a grinding defensive game.

DeBoer usually has strong teams and can get them to play a defensive system. But I don't think he has some magic touch against Bednar.

I'm confident there are many coaches out there who could dummy Bednar in a 7 game series if given a halfway competent roster.

Its square peg, round hole with his lines. Mack and Necas are too similar (with obvious skill gap), it just doesn't work. With seeing Lando play well and keep up the pace he should probably be moved up and Drouin either moved down to the 3rd line or be scratched for Wood. For the shit Wood got on that OT goal 2 nights ago he looked good otherwise and had a positive impact.

Yet people are acting like we have lost the last two games 5-1.

I will say that I thought Manson had a MUCH better game tonight, as did Sammy G. And the charts reflect that.

The other Sam was just fine as well in his playoff debut. Probably should have played game 2 but whatever, I’m not too mad about that.

The whole season Avs have attacked basically with the same pattern.

Pass to 1 guy (Mack,Necas,Makar) to fast skate on the side to go around the net and pass to D and shoot. It creates so few opportunities to actually score since there is no net front presence, its blocked or shot goes wide. Also it seems to be very easy to defend by Dallas. And if the go around is blocked there are 3 more guys blocking the lateral pass.

3 and 4 lines dump the puck and score sometime with effort which is nice.

PP is horrible when given enough pressure and has been for the whole season. Its nothing new. Also having just the 1 and only way to setup with Makar on the blueline is so bad. Its been scouted to end of earth at this point. Usually when they start to skate around good things happen but they just wont.

Im not given up yet, but they just dont have it with this playstyle since 1st and 2nd lines are basically neutered.

Some guy off camera was asking who aj was and aj got up to go behind the camera and talk to this guy but the guy walked over to aj and slapped the glasses off his face. Rudo shot up, bear hugged him and ran him off set. Then you could hear screaming and cussing from the guy what sounded like "choking my girlfriend "
