You don't have to believe the numbers, but they exist for a reason. The Avs had their chances tonight. Oettinger was both great AND having an easy night because the Avs - again - fail to get bodies in front. I don't know what the excuse is because Nichushkin, Nelson, Necas, Lehkonen, Coyle, even Landeskog are all big, big boys. Yet the traffic is mostly nonexistant.Avs didn't look like scoring until the final minute of this game. 16 scoring chances is awfully generous, I don't believe that number for a second. We would have lost 1-0 if Nuke didn't get a fluke goal due to Duchene going controller disconnect. Dallas just doesn't make mistakes, while all of Avs are always self inflicted for trying too much or too hard.
We lost last year because of a 0.02% power play, we're heading that way this year as well. I have no faith, we have never beat a team like Dallas with this core and keep losing in OT. This team is mentally broken even getting the Captain back. That says a lot there if you'd ask me brethren.
