Who's a good fit, and what's the cost?

You have the answer in your own post, no one likes him so no one cares. Nashville fans don't like him, seems Wild fans have a bad taste in their mouth when it comes to him, and I seem to recall Dallas fans being happy he was getting the heck out of Dodge as well. Not sure where/if he goes, but how was there not a thread on the main board for him hitting 1500 games? Only 22 players (obligatory "f*** Mike Babcock") have done it, including him, 6 defenseman. I know lots of people don't like him, but great achievement.
The Canadiens aren’t trading him away so he’s not worth a 1st rounder.Actually think Blues should try it. Can’t hurt to have another 1st rounder. Alexeeyev it is.
Yeah, a 3rd is what I'm hoping for. It's something where if the Blues were in a playoff position, I'd feel comfortable paying based on how he's playing.Suter has been extremely solid this year for the Blues. He was pressed into playing top pairing 24+ minutes for a stretch of games due to injuries and his age started to show…otherwise he’s been a very good #5 dman who can still PK and clear to the crease with the best of them. He can fill in on a second pairing in a pinch, eat tough defensive assignments, and anchor a bottom pairing. I could see him going for at least a 3rd at the TDL.
