So hard to believe Reaves isn't the worst player on the team.

When they first signed him I wasn't convinced he was worth over a million bucks. But one thing has become abundantly clear watching players like Nylander (the shitty one), Robertson, and Holmberg play. There's a lot bigger wastes of money than paying Reaves a million bucks to punch a few faces every year.

There's players on the team overpaid by as much as Reaves earns.

I'm well aware that once the callups go back to the AHL Reaves will be the worst player on the team again. Which he should be. If anyone but Reaves was the worst player it would be impossible to call this team a contender.

It's hard enough to call them that as it is.

But I will admit I do like watching Reaves beating people up. It's fun having him on this pretender contender. Seeing him punching someone in their stupid ugly face eight to ten times a year is worth keeping him around for alone.

The fact Reaves can also play better hockey than half the guys on the bottom of the roster right now makes him worth his paycheque I guess.

I wish he would and could beat someone up. When last scene he got suspended for a hit that hurt his team, and then he returned and did nothing to establish toughness and down go the Leafs to Pitt. He no longer has the fear factor in his game.

I don't understand this whole challenging the players on the other team about something they've done and then skating away after when the other guy doesn't want to engage.

It's like the other guy doesn't want to fight so there's nothing Reaves can do about it. Reaves should be beating them up anyway. Give then a flurry to the solar plexus and an uppercut.
