I get the feeling that there a bunch of bots in this thread, because a lot of the comments suggest that they've never seen someone skate with a puck before.

Nurse looked down for a second while collecting the puck of the boards like every player does, then had his head up prior to the hit while skating with a normal posture for a puck carrier. There's a reason why blind side head shots are particularly frowned upon.

Reave's charged in their skating full tilt and was willing to hit any part of Nurse he could get a piece of rather go in and throw a solid bodycheck to the shoulder. Not sure what he was thinking.

Ridiculous. Look at the facts. He'd been suspended 3 times yes, for a total of 6 games. Toughest guy in the league for a long time where everyone watches for anything, and that's it. Almost 900 career games now. Plays hard bangs hard and will fight anyone, but hardly dirty. For comparison sake, Brad Marchand has been suspended eight times for a total of 28 games, and he’s also been fined five times.

Sounds like someone doesn't know the definition of a dirty player.

I don’t define Reaves as a dirty player. Not the brightest, but not dirty on the scale of other players slotted into a similar position.

It was three for Jeannot's hit on Boeser, and that was the first time that he'd been suspended (don't think he'd even been fined previously).

More like half a second.. his head was up for that entire sequence. Just some HF posters default to 'keep your head up, kid' because they love watching a guy get demolished and bleed. It's been said many times but Reeves had a phenomenal opportunity to go shoulder to should and absolutely blew him up into, it's Toronto, the expensive seats. No one complains today if that happens and we all light a candle for Nurse. Reaves didn't do that at all and the rhetoric, to me, reads like Nurse should always be prepared to be illegally hit in the head.

This is before he gets sent to meet his maker.. head down my ass.lol He, in fact, is in perfect position to destroy Nurse into the boards.
