How do you guys feel about McDonagh being double shifted? I feel like it didn't effect his play for game 1, but I'm worried he's going to be ran into the ground if that's the plan for the rest of the series. Then again do we have a choice? Or can Moore, who's just back from suspension, be trusted to stabilize the third pair enough? Perhaps this only happened because of Diaz and I'm looking too much into it, then again the NBC guys seemed to think this would be a regular occurance. Hmm.
I think Moore will have the freshest legs and the biggest adrenaline rush to get back in the game... if I recall, the 2 times he's been sat this year (Concussion and a scratch), he's come back in a very strong mannger... That should provide some steady play on the 3rd pairing, which should easily cut down McD's minutes from 30 to about 25-26... Hoping Klein is able to play like he did against the Habs
Either way, against a team as offensive as the Kings, McD is probably expecting 30 mins per night. If he gets less, it's probably a bonus... Either way, he's conditioned to handle it no doubt.
