If we gave them Hartnell with Joey I would be very upset. Hopefully it is Tyutin.

lol, it's the return of Ek... It's coming up on Ek season.

Regardless, a trade involving Jones/Johansen seems to make sense and I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Maybe I'm higher on Werenski than I am any center in the organization, but I really can't embrace moving Joey unless we plan on making a move for another young center. But those with Joey's size are rare rare rare.

Murray-Jones
Johnson-Savard
Werenski-Goloubef

Don't forget Boone Jenner's natural position is center. I wouldn't trade Joey unless it was for a top pairing defenseman. Those are almost as rare as #1 centers.

I don't really like him at center, when he has slide over. If someone slides over, I think Foligno is better.

They guy who would be converted to center will most likely play third line. And Nick has certainly been playing like a third liner all season.

Eklund? I wanna get back those 2 minutes of my life that I've spent looking for a rumor source. Joey is going nowhere for sure now.

All season? He's got 16 points in his last 17 games. Name me a single 3rd liner who would have posted similar numbers on such a long span.

That would get Poile lynched. But as a Jackets fan first... yeah, sure. :D

I like Jones, but if we trade Joey to NSH and dont get Josi, I will be disappointed no matter what. Their defensive talent is just so   not fair...

 I've been battling this Foligno is a third liner thing ever since we acquired him. You'd think after a while folks would get the idea that Nick Foligno is good at hockey.

I'll just let you know now. Josi is so much more valuable than Johansen and there is no possibility that Josi is coming to Columbus.

 I didn't think one could choke on a partially-chewed M&M, but you almost made me do it.

Fisher to that team is like Dubinsky to us. That's a "no way no how not even if you were offering Crosby" package.

You are therefore likely to be inevitably disappointed. Josi has the absolute best value-for-money contract in the NHL - beyond even those of Pacioretty and Tavares - and he and Weber are a 100-point defense pairing. He is perhaps the most untouchable player in the NHL save Connor McDavid. If he gets traded, Poile gets fired.

I am too. In 2017 or 2018.

We all know Johansen is a rare talent, that was never a question; I also think our center situation is pretty good even without Johansen. When I saw Jenner play center for a game, along with what I'm seeing from Wennberg, I'm not the least bit concerned.

Boston offers former 1rst round pick A. Koklachev, former 1rst round pick Malcom Subban, Top 6 D-man Zach Trotman , Former first round p1ck Brett Connolly and a future 2nd round pick for Johansen and Rychel.

Any interest?

Columbus adds a third round pick and Boston includes PK specialist JK.

I don't think I've seen a worse proposal on HF. And that includes all of the Montreal ones.

(And since when is #40 overall a "former first round pick"?)
