2 goals for Callahan tonight! 1st star of the game.
Has 8 points (4 G , 4 A) in 11 games
Happy for him.
If Rangers don't win the Cup I hope it's Tampa.

Well Richards is going away, so you can't really count him. And I'd still take Nash at 7.8M for 4 more years over Cally at 6M for 6 more.
What type of hockey is that?
There isn't a team or system in hockey that doesn't employ, nor a coach that doesn't relish, players like Callahan.
Assuming they aren't looking for obscene contracts, of course.
Nope, nothing to be bitter about. Callahan was a solid ranger and a good hockey player. But he wants to be paid like a great one, which he is not. Bottom line is he isn't worth 6M this year, how on earth can you justify paying him that 6 years from now? Seriously.
Happy for him.

Callahan with another goal tonight to tie the game and take it to OT. He now has 9 points (5 G , 4 A) in 12 games since joining Tampa Bay.
Good thing we gave up a 1st and 2nd pick, the 10 year younger player, and the better all around player.

Now this is funny.
It's sad actually. But I'm a long time Rangers fan who watches the games.
I've been a short time Ranger fan, but am watching both teams now also. If these people saw these games, then they would know. He has been amazing since being traded to Tampa, and has points to show for it.
Some people become bitter at what a player is worth and should not get paid this or that, they make it sound like it is their money being spent.

Art Ross Trophy winner...
70+ point player each year...
Yeah clearly Cally was a better player.
So you're basing that Cally is "better all around player" purely based on 12 games.
No. I'm basing it on more than career points scored.
I hear ya. I'm sick of overpaying for the big name softies that can't handle NY, while at the same time getting rid of guys who work hard and are team players. And getting rid of draft picks year after year. Kind of like the Knicks, but not THAT bad...
Was? Is. Art Ross measures points. MSL won last year. The Rangers are in a playoff race this year. TB fans see the difference in the last month.

6 goals isn't it? MSL is still zero, that one you can't forget...good for Cally! He's scoring big goals, 3 games ago was a game winner and last night was a game tying goal in the 3rd period, Lightning are 7-1-4 since he arrived...
