I believe this man deserves his own thread. Sorry if I stepped on any toes with the other one. :P

thank you for the years and giving it your all every game.. you'll always be a ranger in my heart... best of years to ya:nod:

Indeed, Thank you Cally!

It's a shame he listened to his agent and they thought they'd get Sather to budge. I wish Callahan all the luck except against us, just kind of hit me that he's gone. It's a sad situation, flashbacks to Leetch getting traded. Man that day sucked. At least I am an MSL fan.

Bob, just because it's you, we'll keep the thread. :)

Title changed to reflect your love for Ryan Callahan.

I'll miss you, Cap.

Best of luck, I'll always look up to you.

I'm gonna miss him despite by dislike for his game this year. Great guy, great player when he's on. He always put it all out on the line cliche cliche etc.

It hasn't hit me yet, but it'll hit me and I'll be very sad, likely tomorrow. Too pumped for MSL now to get too down.

A great Ranger. Years from now, when Cally is retired, he'll be showing up at home games, getting standing ovations and basically being what Adam Graves is for us now. No doubt in my mind.

He always played full bore. I like players that work hard--make the most of their talent and give their all. He epitomized those things. Pretty much this just got to the point where he wanted too big a contract for it to be worthwhile to us. He's a good player--not a great one. Wish him the best but not necessarily the Lightning.

One of my favorite Rangers of all time. But he had to go. Best of luck to him and I'll be rooting for Tampa if the Rangers are eliminated and TB still in it.

I still remember that St Pattys day game when he came up and scored his 1st two goals so vividly. Knew he would be special.

Thanks for the memories and good luck. As much as I feel moving on from him was the right business decision, I still will miss the player.

Thanks Captain Cally. You busted your ass every year. Blocked ridiculous shots. Generated momentum. You donned the C well.

Ryan Callahan was a great Ranger. Somebody we can all point to with pride. It's sad that his time here is done but nothing lasts forever. He played with his heart. He was one of the primary reasons this team turned itself around from the dark ages. It's a shame it came down to this.

Way he put it all on the line for his team every shift night in & night out truly represented what a captain was all about. Always respected the way he played for the Rangers.

Here's to health, wealth and happiness. No, pun intended...

Doubt he resigns in Tampa, but you never know. Thanks for being a part of the history of the franchise that helped change the lazy, floating aura surrounding this team. Thanks for the physical sacrifice you made every time you stepped on the ice. It's also sad that your agent kinda drove things in this direction.

Thanks Cally. Best of luck. Except when playing against the Rangers.

Nowhere near the Leetch trade, but still sad to see him go.

That was a great night! The garden exploded when he scored that 2nd goal.
